Was expecting a quality lonely planet product. Nothing like the book. No suggested itinerary. No way to sort top restaurant and attraction picks. A skeleton compared to the book.
Used this app in early 2011 and found it to be a great companion to the book. Works great even when offline, especially the map... Very helpful for US tourists who won't have 3G access to Google maps while in Dublin
The content seems pretty descent but the map does not scroll around properly. The background tiles seem to not rerender.
On the whole I found this an invaluable resource. In particular it was extremely useful for getting around without a cellular data plan in Dublin. However, buyers should note that the content in this app is from 2010, so some listings may be out of date. (In particular, the Viking Splash Tours do not leave from Bull Alley Street, but rather from St. Stephen's Green. Not far for adults to walk, but quite some distance with little kids!) In addition there is no in-app feedback mechanism. (You have to go to the support website to leave feedback on an entry.)
