I absolutely loved this app
When i purchased this app, i expected that it would contain the same info as the book edition. Well, this app is a very abbreviated version of the book, which was greatly disappointing. In addition, the design is not very interactive. It would be helpful if, while reading description of a site, i could click on it and see it immediately on the map. Or, it would be nice to be able to switch pages by a finger swipe instead of having to click on the arrows.
Crashed so often I stopped using it. Every time I zoomed into the map it got screwed up and I would need to restate. IF it didn't crash on its own. Come on LP, Really?<br/><br/>My traveling companion's did the exact same thing. I have iOS4 and she didn't.
App was lacking. Not all sights discussed had map links. How easy would it have been to do so? Also note it is a super abbreviated version, for use on iPhone. If you want only very brief summaries, this can do. Otherwise buy the full PDF version of the guidebook. If you are in a super rush to quickly read up on Vienna right before you depart on your trip (as I was) then this does the job well.
My complaints have changed -- I found the geotargeted maps (blame the counterintuitive interface: "maps" appears in two sections). Now if they'd work on replacing the bland amateur tourist photography and cleaning up the history...

Absolutely lame! They simply ported the book to an app. You can't search the map by street, and you can't bookmark places which aren't in the book. There's no straying from the LP-approved itinerary with this lousy app! Don't waste your money if you're looking for a functional Vienna map app.
I was expecting this version to be similar to the Prague guide (which is very useful). It is structured poorly, not very user friendly, and there isn't nearly as much information. Not sure if any other paid app is better, but don't waste your money on this one. I hope lonely planets other guides are more like the Prague version.
