Hydra captures more light by merging up to 60 frames to make a single high-quality picture (less noise, more highlights/shadows) on iPhone and iPad. Hydra also goes beyond the 8- or 12-megapixel sensor limit, with up to 32-megapixel high-resolution images. It uses the latest evolutions of iPhone and iPad camera hardware, as well as the latest camera APIs and GPU rendering technologies.
Hydra provides 5 specific capture modes: HDR, Video-HDR, Lo-Light, Zoom, and Hi-res modes.
• Hydra's High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode is based on an alternate method that captures up to 20 images and that is made to handle even the most difficult lighting conditions. • Video-HDR uses single-image tone mapping and device-specific sensor mode to create stunning videos. • Lo-Light mode removes sensor noise by merging together multiple images and amplifying light by a factor of 10 to provide a better image quality. • Zoom mode uses real-time, super-resolution technique to recreate missing pixels from hand motion, producing 2x, 4x and 8x (telephoto lens) scale factors with more details than the standard digital zooming technique(*). • Hi-res mode produces up to 32MP images from the regular 8 or 12MP camera sensor, providing finer details in captured image(*). • Hydra supports the telephoto & front cameras respectively in Zoom and Lo-Light/HDR modes to shoot portraits & selfies. • Camera support: ultra wide, wide, telephoto, and front facing.
Hydra also features a photo gallery for reviewing images and their metadata, directly linked with built-in iOS photo album, thus avoiding duplicates and allowing to flag as favorites.
(*) recommended for static scenes or distant scenery. Rendering artifacts can occur for scenes with parallax and for moving subjects.

8 of 15Bought this app for my iPhone se as reviews said it improved the camera performance. However I’m not experiencing that performance gain. Trying to apply for a refund but apparently apple is still processing the purchase even though funds deducted. I’m sure with dual lens iPhones gain may be seen more but this just isn’t for me.
As title states, video doesn’t work. I’ll update my review as soon as this problem is fixed
I just started taking pictures with this app and I’m loving it so far so!
The stock app does far better at taking photos and it doesn’t crash every time you delete a photo, stick what what you have and save your money! This app is buggy and crashes every time you delete a unwanted photo!
I'm sorry to disappoint you but this isn't the camera app you are looking for if you have a new phone. But even after saying that, I have an iPad Pro 2nd Gen and the camera zoom & resolution adds no value there either. I have done many tests and while it seems that the image seems softer-edged tricking you into clarity, a quick zoom-crop will reveal there is no new detail added. In this day and age, what you are looking for is a neural network that will improve the image after the snap; but I'm telling you that if you practice your normal camera app editing you'll find you have all the quality you need (don't forget to maximise resolution in the settings) Applied for a refund (was no way to test the app before paying for it) but 3 stars since it is still a camera app and people with older phones seem to find benefit.
The app is coo it’s Ight but can y’all please add a photo timer so we can take pics and videos with a timer that we can manually set and add more manual controls as well like come on now bro how y’all gone make a 32 megapixel high resolution camera wit no manual controls or setting update the app bro 🤣 other than that pics come out nice clean and crispy with real true high quality and higher megapixels too better than the iPhone camera but still needs more updates and features
