Some 3-D games are hard to master with a touch screen, but this gives different options for viewing, making it easier to finalize the action you're intending. Intuitive movements, time bonuses, nice looking...fun!!
The concept seems interesting, but the game forces you to solve specific cells, rather than let you figure it out your own way. By only picking cells that have an obvious solution, it takes away half the challenge. Too easy, even on expert.
This game tells you where to look, or in other words' where to fill the spaces in and in what order, which completely takes away from the challenge of it. I have not tried the hard level, but I can tell you that " Normal" level is actually very easy, so I would expect the "Hard" level to be easy. This game is less about the logic of sudoku and more about being able to angle a 3-D object so that you can see all the surrounding numbers. That's another thing about it-- when I bought this app, I was expecting a 3-d cube like a rubix cube, where you only deal with six surfaces. Instead, it's not just the surfaces but all layers in between. In other words, it's a 3-d grid. While this is a cool idea, it makes it hard to see all the numbers. Then again, I guess that's sort of my fault for not looking at the product more before buying it. One other thing: this cube is 8-by-8, not 9-by 9, which kind of throws me off. I don't think I would mind so much of it was 10-by20, as this introduces more of a challenge, but reducing the amount of numbers is just annoying to me. That's just my opinion, though.
This is a pretty game, with very smooth controls. The gameplay is very intuitive. However, there is almost no strategy. It is sort of like a 3 dimensional Sudoku, except that you can't choose which block to fill in -- instead, the game cycles you through different empty blocks. There is no way to judge when you make a mistake because you can't move through the block on your own. The easy levels are tedious (often only 1 number missing in an 8 number row) and the normal levels are only slightly less tedious. It felt like doing a homework worksheet. Could be a good game for children too young for Sudoku.
A very unique way of playing
This game is fun and different being 3D. Haven't played to many puzzles yet but am hooked!!
Kuboku is able to be modified so people of all skill levels may enjoy this game. The controls may be adjusted as the skill improves. EXCELLENT GAME!
