Good work on this app Facebook. Just need to make the main app better.

ios 7 update and new features please!

I want this app so much because it meets the Instagram but I think it's time to update the icon the features to iOS 7 version to completely unites our iOS 7 devices! And also please fix the bugs and more filters! 😊

Well for starters, Facebook is a photo-centric social network, so they are simply trying accentuate photos on the platform going forward using mobile, since mobile is the future. Additionally, this keeps users integrated into a native Facebook app, vs. using another app client to feed into Facebook and keeps you locked into Facebook. Also, since a lot of Facebook users don’t use Instagram, the reach is less with only using Instagram, and the reach is greater by opening up a photo app directly towards existing Facebook users, which is nearing one billion globally. Because of this new app Instagram is losing accounts. Instagram users can't get newsfeed and are getting accounts deleted. It's a total copy of Instagram. Even though I am a facebook user myself I don't think they need another social media app. It ruins the fun for Instagram users. The App Store does not need another copy of Instagram. Also since I've tried the app out the filters aren't that good. In using the app, the only way to access your Camera Roll on iOS is to allow Facebook full access to your location. You have to, or you cannot use your Camera Roll at all. The reason behind this is so that Facebook can further tie it’s platform into location based functions, such as targeted advertising. Sneaky. But with all that said, why would Facebook basically create another app identical to Instagram, especially since they paid an enormous amount of money to acquire them? The points I made above are valid, but with Instagram integrating it deeply into Facebook is all that is really needed, and it seems unnecessary to create direct competition with it unless the long term goal is to sunset Instagram and migrate all users over to Facebook.

This app used to be 5 star, now it's 0-star. The normal useful operating time is about ten seconds- before the app crashes and takes what you are working on with it. I don't understand how Facebook can make a great app, and then keep screwing it up? The regular Facebook app is even more unreliable- as well as power consuming. 5 minutes of using any Facebook app with take your device from 100% charge to about 75%.
