You want an application, which can handle all your budgeting needs: capable of tracking your income and expenses per each category, easy to use and suitable for personal, family and even business finances. You want to instantly see, which budgeted categories are underplanned, and which are overplanned. You want to be able to access statistics visually through different charts. And you want to be able to sync your data with other iPads. Budgets for iPad (with Sync) are here to help you with your detailed budgeting.
The way you work with the application: Create budgeted entries, both for your income and expenses (with any periodicity and length that you want), and indicate budget limits for each entry. Start adding every transaction you have, and see progress of each category and the overall progress. You may set transactions as recurring or as one-time only. And now control your budget and see the statistics in all the main common types of charts: Pie Charts, Histograms, Pie Charts and Line Chart. 8 of 25Really like this app; but, didn't like having to enter the information twice in two different applications. I'm also use your checkbook app. Wish the two apps interacted with each other. Like enter inf in the checkbook register, and recurring accounts automatically load in the budget app. Also, really needs to have split transaction. That's also a big challenge.
This is a super complicated app, but once you get the idea, it's WONDERFUL!!! I only wish that it were easier to delete a transaction if you make a mistake. It would also be awesome to see the "Actual" amounts when shown in the bar graph be a different color than the "Budgeted" bar graph. You should also be able to scale the screen view between the list of budgets and transactions on the left from the large screen on the right. Sometimes it is hard to see my transactions list which can become quite detailed. Also, a "Notes" section in the transactions I create would be awesome for payment confirmation numbers. The graphics are very nice! Top Notch! Can't wait to see what comes in the next version upgrade. Thanks!
Having used Budget Express on my desktop, I have tried several budget apps to not avail. This app is not the exception; not intuitive, not user friendly. Unless you feel compiled to use this app for for the money you've spent, I don't see how people give it great reviews. Not worth the $$$
Normally I would have said "great App", but after it took you 2 months to set up the freeze bug, I am on a wait and see mood...
Crashes every time I make a new entry. Never had this problem with earlier versions. Please fix!
Crash, crash, crash! Can't get it to do anything without crashing, have to open and start over numerous times before it works. Great app when it works.
We use this app daily. We have 5 kids and lots of finances to keep track of. Support has been wonderful.
Yes it keeps track of all your income and expenses. Yes it gives you charts. Yes it allows you to export to excel. But unlike all others that I tried, it has a truly intuitive UI!! It is so simple to enter and maintain data. Finally a budget app that takes the pain out of tracking your monetary flow. This is the only app I've ever rated a 5 and it deserves a 10!!
