Just What I Needed

by ImperatorRuscal · May 28, 2012

I can direct my customers to a QuickSupport download link and be on their PCs in no time at all. The UI is responsive (assuming good internet connections) and easy to use.

This has made my iPad my primary remote support device, which is a true life saver when emergencies arise while I'm out and about.

Crashes at least once every time I try to connect to a PC

TeamViewer is awesome but this app is extremely unstable. It used to be much better but it is getting worse after every release.

Known issue

I have used team viewer for a number of years at the last company i worked at and now at the non-profit i currently work at after upgrading to this new version suddenly i cant see some machines on my list or indeed even some groups. The gentleman on the phone was very nice but not at all helpful. After moving my machines all into the groups i can see, at least for now i was able to get most to show up. Hope this helps someone else

Crashes all the time

Needs fixing BAD!

Ok, but crashes non-stop with PC Build 8012

Do NOT upgrade to the latest version if you haven't yet. TeamViewer is constantly crashing now! I suspect that this is intended as TV wants you to upgrade to the latest version 7 desktop S/W.

Teamviewer Pro HD has room for improvement

First, I like the application but when you first launch on your iPAD it is in Portrait view only and does not rotate to landscape. Only once you actually remote into a system does it go landscape. I told Teamviewer customer service about and they said they would advise development.

Second, you have to purchase a separate copy of the Pro version for both the iPad and the iPhone which gets expensive. LogMeIn Ignition on the otherhand only charges you once and you can use on both devices using the same Apple ID, so they know it's you.

So I will keep on iPad for now but figure I will not on iPhone and just use LogMeIn Ignition instead from there. Need utility of Teamviewer on iPad though for when I am out and about and not carry around heavy laptop.

Excellent as usual

Been using Teamviewer for a number of years, both for personal and business.
My current company was outsourced and in my new position, I will be using Teamviewer in a corporate environment.
This latest version rocks - made my job much easier.
Thanks Teamviewer!

Does what it says, very well. Robust.

SHORT VERSION

Does what it says, very well. Robust.

LONG VERSION

Available in two versions:
- Teamviewer for iPhone. Personal: Free. Pro (work): $99
(works on both iPhone and iPad (iPhone resolution))
- Teamviewer HD for iPad. Personal: Free. Pro HD (work): $139

Prices of Pro (for work use) versions are unusually high for iPhone/iPad apps, but quite possibly justified.

Two versions rather than a single universal version is a bit of a disappointment.

Lack of upgrade from iPhone to iPad version is disappointing, especially for early adopters who purchased the iPhone version for use on the iPad before the iPad version was released.

Works well over 3G (though I have no idea what sort of traffic/usage remote control programs such as this generate).

No risk. Try and compare it and it's competitors for free.

As stated earlier..... Does what it says, very well. Robust.

Highly recommended.
