MCN Ride Logger

This is an awesome app but needs to be setup for all US measurements. Temperature is only in Celsius. Also link to Facebook does not work.

Like others have pointed out it does not work in the background. So my iphone is useless while running this app. I thought before I bought the app that you could see some current information while riding such as the speed because one of the screen shots has &quot;current speed.&quot; I was also surprised that it does not elevation info on it. Very basic app that cost $8. I have free apps that are more functional. If they had 0 stars I would give it that. I wish there were a return policy for some of these apps!<br/><br/>Motionx lite (free) is a better app that does far more things. Except acceleration and deceleration G's (who cares. What am I a drag racer.)

This app works great and the stats work really well and are very accurate. However, you can't see all the stats of your ride while you are riding. You have to wait until you are finished with your ride to see anything. This was very disappointing to me considering I bought it for the purpose of using it during my ride so I can see where I am going and so I can see the stats of my ride.

App work a just as described. Make sure your iPhone or iPad isn't too close to your body or you might loose 3G reception! Can't wait for update and function to export the route and run. So the app can post automatically to your facebook with top speed, acceleration and braking G. All it need is a way to export the route so everyone can see the route on a webpage or video! can't wait for the next update!

7 dollars way to much! Good for top speed runs. Be nice is the post to facebook actually WORKED.

A very good app that delivers just what it says, for the most part. GPS was handy at finally arriving at the difference in my speedometer vs actual speed. As others have stated, a few things need to be addressed to take this app to the next level:<br/><br/>- Ability to set and save temp from Celsius to Farenheit<br/>- Different bikes can be saved; but the tires need to be entered every ride; drop down list would be appropriate here too<br/>- Export functionality is so limited as to be pointless and really is the wart on the beauty queen here.<br/>- At the very least, the maps are already in Google API so give us the option to save maps to our Google Accts as the first export step while you work out local desktop exporting.<br/><br/>Truly a well executed app that's well worth the money. If future releases address these issues it will become the de facto leading motorcycle-related app.

I have been eyeballing this app before it was available on the US markets. Quite nice actually. To be able to see the high points and go right to them on the map is amazing! The map shows you where you accelerate and decelerate, and how fast and how many g's you are generating at any given point. <br/><br/>One of the features I would like to see is iPhone 4 Gyro support, if it is capable of helping to display lean angle. Other than that, this app is a gem!

I had the chance to use the app on my recent 300+ mile trip to northern California. It worked wonderfully except when I attempted to view the map at the end of the ride, I got a blank screen. Google map will not load when I record long rides...everytime! This bug is keeping this app from scoring a perfect 5. Fix this and I will update my score. <br/><br/>Edit: yesterday, I had to delete and reinstall the app because selecting either end, cancel, or continue ride would cause the app to crash. As a result i lost all my saved tracks.<br/><br/>Edit: If you are looking for a better app that allows you to attach a map when sharing trips, buy motionx gps. IMO, the app does a lot more than MCN and only $2.99.
