Love Empire, was loving this app too. However, I'm not getting any new reviews at all - nothing in almost a week, even though the empireonline website has several new reviews that have been added...
Love this app I love the magizine so this was a no brainer
This has the potential to be amazing, but as it stands the release years for lots of movies are completely screwed up. Taxi driver from 2006? The Conversation from 2002? I would have expect better from Empire. Please fix this!
Film fans and cinephiles, you've traveled this far, it is time for you to trust your instincts and purchase this app. Empire's content is topnotch and along with the people at Bauer they've put together a nearly perfect app. You will not be disappointed. In the palm of your hand you will have access to a catalog of film reviews of such depth and insight that you will wonder at how you ever lived without it. Update Suggestions: -Film Posters/Stills -User Star Ratings -Comment Section/Discussion Board -Connection dependent Trailers/Clips -Further Viewing suggestions Keep up the good work, and get this thing ready for whatever device Apple puts out next ;-) Ps. If Bauer doesn't have a non-compete they should give Roger Ebert a call asap
I used to love this app. Back when it gave me new reviews. I haven't gotten a new review since early March. MARCH!!!! Is it so hard?
Don't waste your money. Reviews are good but it just doesn't update! You are stuck with reviews when you first downloaded this app. Better look at rotten tomatoes for recent reviews.
What you'll find here are exceptionally well-crafted reviews and a cheeky British perspective, which makes a nice contrast from the American reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie database on this app isn't as big, but it's still vast. And most important, it's right there on your iPhone or iPod Touch without the need for an internet connection. Excellent interface, great material - well worth the price.
