8 of 25Have been using HanDbase for a number of years and have found it to be an excellent app. I found it to be a reliable program that is maintained by well informed support staff that will assist in the event you run into a problem
There is no query function in this database, without that function it is just like using a spreadsheet.
I Really like this app. I have used MS-Access for years and having the quick ability to design mini apps with this product is a Godsend. I've created a couple custom db apps for myself that no one out there has done or I can find. I DO Hope that some updates are created to make the relationships between tables a little better as well as more detailed documentation.
Okay, let me confess right away that I am a database designer by profession. I probably expected too much of this app. It will do the trick as long as you don't need unique keys for records or many-to-many tables. If you don't understand my complaint, then this app will probably be fine for you. If you did understand my complaint, then you'll know whether this DB will do the job for you.
HandBase can create databases easily. Love how can update on the fly by assigning new field types and views. Would like to have option to store db file on cloud service to use with iPhone and iPad.
I have been using HanDBase for a About 6 years and have 2 system critical databases. First is our Church’s Assets control database It consists of several linked databases. Building linked to Rooms. Rooms are linked inventoryMasterfile Groups linked to models, models to inventoryMasterfile Groupcodes liked to groups Transaction codes linked to transactions Transaction linked to inventoryMasterfile The second is a database I create using HanDBase for a non profit sailing SailCTAccess.org Organization has a non critical link to members Membership type codes linked membership types Membership type linked to members ICE contact info linked to members Photo of release Photo of Member Sailing dates and trips linked to members Before I stared using HanDBase, I was an executive Dbase designer for a large national company. A brain injury and couple strokes later, I can,t do what I did before, but I can assure you, HanDBase has it all.
There is no way to save on newer iPad. Worked just fine on my old one.
I've been using Handbase for several years now, all the while trying to wait patiently for iCloud automatic syncing. Now I've found Tap Forms and am seriously tempted to switch. What we have to go thru to sync the grocery list from my wife's phone to mine isn't worth the trouble. Any chance of getting real automatic syncing any time soon?? I'd love to stick with Handbase.
