8 of 25No more headaches. After 20 years of dealing with shady processing companies, years later I still receive an occasional letter informing me that I could be part of a class action lawsuit against the shady processing companies. I finally switched to Square a few years ago and everything has been perfect.
Besides processing Square has also helped my business with great loan opportunities that normal banks would not offer to a small business in a million years. Thanks Square
After years with 0 problems or chargebacks and thousands of clients they deactivated my account for “security concerns” and said too bad, nothing we can do about it. No manual review or ability to restore it.
Update: I already spoke to your customer service there and they said the decision is final and they will not reactivate my account.
I made two sales and I have 67 dollars in there and I already verified my bank and debit card and it won’t let me access any of what I made. So annoying
Square is very easy to use and help our small business. The features allow you to customize products for easy access.
This app is the best that happens to me , it is easy to work with this app
I use the savings a lot and it directs you from the app to the website and more times than not gives a error message so you can’t access your funds
eave reviews, but this experience was beyond disappointing.

As a legitimate business owner, I trusted Square to process a client’s payment and support my business operations. After receiving my first payment, my account entered review, which I understood and accepted as a normal security measure. The problem wasn’t the review itself—it was everything that followed.

I received conflicting account status updates, inconsistent information from different support channels, and multiple explanations that did not align with each other. At one point, I was led to believe my account had been reviewed and cleared, only to receive another request for information shortly afterward. Different representatives provided different answers, leaving me with no clear understanding of my actual account status.

What should have been a straightforward verification process turned into hours upon hours of confusion, uncertainty, documentation gathering, and attempts to get a clear answer. As a business owner with active clients and obligations, the lack of clarity and accountability created significant stress and disruption.

I understand the need for security reviews. What I do not understand is how a business can communicate such inconsistent information during a live transaction process and leave customers with no reliable explanation of what is actually happening.

My disappointment is not with security measures. It is with the lack of communication, consistency, transparency, and ownership throughout the experience.

I expected better from a platform trusted by so many businesses.

Updated Review:

As a business owner, reliability and trust are everything. My experience with Square has seriously damaged my confidence in this platform. I completed verification, was approved to accept payments, and then was unexpectedly sent through another verification review immediately afterward. During that process, my payout status became unclear and I couldn’t access a clear explanation of what was happening with my business funds.

Support acknowledged that I had recently completed verification but couldn’t explain why it was happening again. When businesses depend on timely access to their payments, repeated verification requests without a clear explanation create unnecessary disruption and uncertainty.

I hope Square improves its communication, consistency, and account review process so business owners aren’t left guessing about the status of their funds.
Square is awesome
