8 of 15Feels like a gameboy game. The music is awesome, it’s challenging but fair, and mastering the controls is very rewarding. If you get too into it you can collect all the doves too, which gives it a little more longevity. Also employs simple yet effective storytelling.
Has all of the fun of maneuvering a semi-truck around a parking lot at 40mph. Otherwise, a very beautiful game. Wish I knew what will happen in later levels, but I have enough frustration in my life. No thank you.
The game is great. I’m a big fan of Nitrome games since the big Miniclip era. It’s a great challenge and get what they tried to do with this game. A lot of patience and control changing mechanisms (despite it being a two screen split control. You’ll see when you play). My only complain is the achievement center. There is only 242 doves to complete the game. I got all the achievements. But seeing the global board, there’s someone that completed 253 doves. Where are these secret levels or where are these doves? I looked everywhere but no information about them? That’s my only reasoning for giving it 4-5 stars. Great game though!
Like others say, it hearkens back to days of 'ol with the great graphics and hint of a story. At first, I did not like it, because I, too couldn't "figure out" the controls. When you start, it makes it seem like you have to tap the screen to make the character fly. I finally figured out "oh…! You keep pressing on the screen! Duh." When I figured that out, it didn't become easy, it's still very challenging, as someone said, the controls aren't "random," if you flip the character over, it reverses. I am really enjoying this game. I have actually never played Flappy Bird, so I can't comment, but I do like playing it on my iPad more than my 5s. YMMV.
Came back to this game after a while and when I did, MY PROGRESS WENT DOWN THE DRAIN. 😔
Please update the game for iPhone X and later devices, game is not fitting the screen
The game is absolutely fabulous! And to the people that are saying the controls switch at random, (news flash) they don't. Pushing the right side of the screen will make him turn clockwise and counterclockwise for the left side of the screen. Whenever he gets to 12 o'clock, he will switch directions. When there is nothing touching the screen, he will go downwards whichever way he is facing. You are haters. The controls are actually quite smooth.
The game is short sweet and wrapped up in a nostalgic little bow, i fux heavy with this game.. ITS REALLY NOT THAT HARD IF YOU GIVE IT 10 MINUTES
