★★★☆☆ Really frustrated by III.

I don't want to use it. I don't want to open it. Please let me disable it for now.

LOVE this app!! I’m so happy every time I hit the capture button.

★★☆☆☆ Regularly failing

Cannot trust a camera app that doesn’t reliably save the photo. Quality is nice when it works though.

★★★★★ Pioneer & Leader

Halide continues their pioneering role in the professional and serious cell phone photography space.

★★★★★ Finally!

If you have ever wanted your smart phone camera to act like a real SLR camera with its own dark room, this is it and more!

★☆☆☆☆ Unreliable
by peppero7 · Jul 2, 2026

The quality of the images from this camera are really nice and the presets look so good.

However, the app is super unreliable. Idk if it’s just bc Apple doesn’t have great 3rd party camera support, but it crashes frequently, fails to launch the camera, and I’ve run into bugs with disappearing and lost photos.

Just skip this app, it’s not worth losing your photos.

★★★★★ Not a Camera expert but love this app

I love photography - my friend gave me a lengthy speil about why he likes Halide and I took the bait. Something about how they use the iPhone lens to make images more flat and abide by it's best foundational hardware. Whatever, I went for it. All I can say is I LOVE the photos I take with this app. Love. It's not a filter thing. The lighting and texture I get is great.

For anyone curious I encourage you to try it you!
