8 of 15When you first take a look, it’s great, it has a queue, playlists, song cover, and so on, but in reality? It sucks,
one time after I updated it, it just deleted all my playlists, and then on top of that, adding songs to playlists sucks, because you have to hold, tap, tap, to add each song to a playlists, and overtime it adds up to a lot, why can’t we just select songs and add them all at once to a playlist?
Another bug, is that when I delete a song, sometimes it also just deletes the song that’s playing, ?!!???!? And to make it worse, there’s no recycling bin, so once it’s gone, it’s gone, overall the apps just have lots of bugs,
I’ve always loved VLC, so much so that it is almost always the first thing I install on a new computer, and I donate to them sometimes. This is the first time I’ve used it on my phone and it’s pretty good, however it’s kinda bugging me that play/pause is super laggy, like almost one second between tapping the button and the media pausing. Yeah that’s my only gripe with it tho, love ya videoLAN!
This app, aside from a few minor inconveniences, is the best media player on the app store. 100% ad free, no 'pro' subscription BS, it has everything I need.

There's only a few minor issues:
- VLC demands metadata for auto-sorting; files without it are dumped into the 'unknown' albums, which is annoying because VLC does not allow metadata editing. It also likes to create a bunch of artist albums for singular songs, which clogs up the artist tab.
- Using bluetooth headphones cuts off the first half second of audio. This is probably the worst thing about the app, as headphone jacks no longer exist on iPhones (real genius move, Apple)

But besides those issues, it is outstanding. This is the only player you need. The pros far outweigh the cons.
Disgraceful
The app is a good one

I must say Buhh it would be better if it’s supported Picture in Picture

Plz ensure that I’ll appreciate
What’s the point of this if I can’t even order my playlist
I’ve got to restart the app EVERY TIME I use it!

Otherwise, it won’t work.

So, when the hell are you gonna fix this?!?
While I agree that music apps like Spotify are extremely convenient and easy to use, the constant increase in subscription prices to just play music is getting out of hand. VLC might not be the best alternative, but using that subscription money to buy digital albums and then throwing them in here is great. You can even listen to music offline since it’s all downloaded. Only annoyance is that since all your music is downloaded onto your device, it’ll begin taking up a lot of storage if you have a lot of songs.
