8 of 25This could be the best decorating app out there, except for one terrible draw back. I have been a paying member for 2 years now, but no longer feel safe on this app. There is no blocking feature, and in the last 2 months, I and my friends have been subjected to non stop verbal and sexual abuse in the comments. Despite repeated reports to Homestyler, nothing has been done to provide us with the ability to block abusive people. Several of my paying friends are leaving because of the abuse. I may be next, unless something is done to correct the issue!!
Horrible & useless! Never could get to how to design my room. I deleted the entire app!
I miss when AI wasn’t necessary for things like these, this app clearly predates AI by at least 10 years. Regardless, the app works well other than crashing a couple times.
I am working on plans for a home build and have toyed with several other programs. Homestyler seems to be the most useful and easiest so far. I was able to upload my current plans and it did great recreating on top of those. I have had to move some walls, ect, but this site has been super helpful with bringing a 2D architechual drawings to life. I went ahead and purchased a month to month pro plan to test it out and it has everything i need so far for the interrior. I am hoping it will be useful for the exterior as well, but not a big deal if not. Took one star off because I wanted to work on the plans from my iPad, and all it will do is upload the current picture of what i have in a 3D visual. But there is no where to make edits or do anything else. I guess this is also used as a game and that is what the app seems to look like it is built for. I also tried the web version from my iPad, and it will only allow controls from the touch pad, but not the touch screen.
I tried to design from a photo of my home and from uploading a floor plan. Both are so broken they can’t be used. The photo would not align with the angle of the grid because there was no adjustment for the height of the photo, so the floor did not match the angle of the furniture. The floor plan would not upload because the “upload” button is directly behind the “start new design” button in the mobile UI for iPhone users, so it is impossible to pass the loop of start design> upload a floor plan> start design> upload floor plan ad infinitem. Waste of my time and shared data, wish I had not tried it.

This app is terrible! It won’t let me scan my room and I have an iPhone 16 like it requires. All I want is to virtually rearrange my living room and this definitely did not help and only wasted my time and made me annoyed!
Every time i make a new build it will randomly cut out and reset everything without saving it, and it happens every single time, it is very annoying.
