8-bit Hacky Sack on crack!

by giancruz · June 1, 2013

It took me a few plays (and many quick deaths) to get to the 'Aha!' moment of this game, and once I did I couldn't stop hitting retry to beat my score. You eventually learn that it's not about killing your enemies right away, but keeping your streak alive as long as you can (much like a game of hacky sack). After enough plays you'll be dodging enemies around you, collecting every bonus coin in one boost jump, and keeping enemies half-alive to keep your combo going! Very addictive, beautiful pixel art, and awesome soundtrack.

no iPhone X support

Excited to see the recent update. Sad that it doesn’t add support for iPhone X resolution

Love it!

Tons of fun and challenging too. Lots of options to change up the game by getting stuff with your collected coins from the in-game store.

Great game!

Very addictive and fun. I'm having a hard time putting this game down. Highly recommended.

Super fun retro gaming goodness. I guess that should have been obvious by the dev's name.

Don't overlook it for its simple nature.

This game will kick you all over the place and slam your head in a wall. It's pretty deep once you realize it. Eat it.

Not very satisfying

It's very easy to die, and it's not for good reasons like a deep challenge or intense difficulty curve. You just move stiffly, and dangers just appear quickly. You never feel like you have enough control to respond to these sudden threats, and you'll often die with no warning. It's a coin grabbing game, and because better characters and "slammers" are locked behind a pay wall, I found myself playing just to earn money and see if anything would improve the balance of the game. That's not good. This is a product that you pay for, and I don't want to spend hours in addition to dollars to get to the ideal gameplay. Maybe if you had some control over the height of your jump. All said, the art is nice.

Awesome!

A really fun and original game with charming retro music and graphics. Really has that classic addictive and challenging arcade feel.
