Camera+ for iPad

I recently started using Camera+ on my iPhone and was impressed. When the updated iPad app came out I was expecting good things, but it has been a bit of a disappointment. The much celebrated Clarity function just doesn't work well on my iPad Pro 9.7. My photos look like they have one of the weird effects activated instead. But what really surprises me is no Extension function in Photos. Really?? The developers need to address this conspicuously missing feature immediately.

What can I say? I love this app. Very easy to use. One can easily while away a Sunday afternoon enhancing boring or uncooperative photos.

This is a great app but unfortunately with the v2 update for iPad applying effects with brushes has become unusable for me. In v1 you had the option of using a hard or soft edge on your brush, in v2 the brushes all have a large vignetted edge that is not adjustable. This has made the app unusable for me because I add effects with a hard edge. Hopefully this will be reverted back in a future update to how it worked under v1 and I will be happy to update my review if this happens. Otherwise this is a great app.

Bought it for macro, which is available on the iPhone version. Guess the joke is on me because there's no macro setting to be found and now I'm out five bucks. Jerks.

The “Camera + 2” for iPad release is way too buggy. It’s a disappointing release that’s nowhere near the usual outstanding quality that the “tap tap tap” provides!<br/><br/>It crashes when you delete a photo;<br/>It crashes when you view its iPad settings (access to camera, etc);<br/>It insists on starting-up in view photos mode instead of take a photo mode);

Camera+ is has really opened new photographic possibilities for me. The camera interface makes sense. The Lightbox for local storage and processing works well and tracks the edits made. <br/><br/>Saving a photo is where I get mixed up on workflow when I want to save multiple versions of a photo. Best control - from the Lightbox view, tap Select and then a photo for full Save or export options: Save &amp; Remove, Save &amp; Keep, Save Without Edits &amp; Keep, Commit Edits.

One the best features about he iPhone version of this app is the Macro feature. This app feels naked without it.

The clarity filter is the absolute best photo editing tool I have used on the iPhone or iPad. There is nothing like it. And the ability to brush effects in/out (with your finger or Apple Pencil) is wonderful.<br/><br/>That said, the lack of a Photos extension on the iPad is a serious lack. The import/export workflow, which ends up leaving two copies of the same photo (one edited, one unedited) in Photos is highly ineffective. I hope the developers add an extension for iPad soon…I want more than anything to give this app the 5 stars it (almost) deserves!
