8 of 15I disabled AMC app notifications because too many of them felt irrelevant or intrusive, even though I actually want to use the app and go to AMC theaters. The specific feature I want is simple: let users follow a particular movie, theater, format, and date range, then notify us when tickets or additional showtimes become available. For example, if I want to see a movie in IMAX but opening weekend sells out quickly, I should be able to ask for alerts when more IMAX showtimes are added, including for later dates. Right now, figuring out when new showtimes drop can feel like a recurring manual chore. I understand that showtimes may depend on theater-level scheduling, demand, and which movies are performing best. But that is exactly why better notification controls would help. Customers who already want to spend money at AMC should be able to receive useful, specific alerts without also getting unrelated reminders and promotions. AMC should give users more control: movie-specific alerts, format-specific alerts, theater-specific alerts, and date-specific alerts. That would make the app more helpful, less irritating, and more likely to get customers into theaters.

Couldn’t put a purchase through because it required my birth year because I changed my password. Did not accept my birth year because I don’t know that my birth year was ever listed on my account.
There was no line but 2-3 employees behind the counter. We were 2 adults and 3 children and we approached counter only to be told that we must use the kiosk. While we were struggling with kiosk 2 patrons came walked around us and were sold their tickets by the agent! The employees were chatting all the while we were struggling to place our ticket orders…at least 2 more kiosks were available but not required for the next guests that came in….why was that?! I am a shareholder of AMC theaters stock! Too bad this is not the 1st time I was treated rudely at this theater! Why? I don’t feel welcome at all, the service at the food counter was very nice this time.

whenever I try to buy a ticket in the app, it tells me an error occurred after I select my seats 👎👎
Love that it’s close to my home. Staff always make me feel like I’m a VIP.
