They did it again. Classic retro gaming on the iPhone = win.

Reading lots of negative reviews about the controls, so I just wanted to comment that if you are planning to play with the iCade, have no worries, the controls are great. Now if you can only use touch controls... thats another story.

You can not play well because of bad controls because sometimes it does not respond.

Neoteria is a great shooter that really recreates that retro feel. I love the art, the music--just about everything. However, I think the "up" arrow's detection area could be expanded upwards a bit more. I have died several times because my finger was just a centimeter above the up button. Other than that it's great. And I don't know if there's iCade or 8-Bitty support, but I would love to play this with the 8-Bitty when it comes out later this year.

The controls are probably the most difficult thing about the game if you're playing easy mode. The whole right half of the screen is for firing, but the up/down controls feel almost microscopic. Would work much better if whole upper left quarter and lower left quarter were an option for those more interest in playing than focusing on exact location of invisible buttons.

This is a really fun retro-style shooter game with a nice weapons pickup mechanic and really fun art, music, and sound effects. Everything in the game screams "play me!" to my gamer brain. It's a game I want to love, but the controls can get rather frustrating. Tapping the right side of the screen to fire is natural and works great, but I have trouble sometimes catching the smallish up/down control buttons on the left side of the screen without any kind of physical feedback to know when my fingers are touching the buttons properly. It's a common enough problem with virtual buttons on the iPhone, but it seems like something could be done to improve it and I look forward to seeing those improvements come so I can upgrade to 5 stars!

Devs, please add a sliding option on the left side so that the ship flys to my thumb.

Guys you have made such a good game! I really enjoy it but like everyone has said, just keep on trying with those controls. I know u can get it right. Such a good game otherwise.
