Adobe Photoshop Touch

I love this app, it is the MOST advanced photo editor on the app store. I haven't experienced any problems with it. I recommend this app to anyone who wants to be a graphic designer or someone who doesn't want to pay a monthly fee for photoshop. I have tried lots of free photo editors but this doesn't compare to any of the apps I have got. Adobe you have amazed me once again.

Adobe: this is not up to your world-class standards. You can do better.<br/><br/>This app still can't show or load any images from Photo Stream.<br/><br/>Even with version 1.7.7, Photostream images cannot be opened. How can such an important aspect of Adobe's flagship application be ignored, with no explanation? Imagine if Photoshop for Mac could not open photos taken from iOS?<br/><br/>Photostream used to be a useful image source in PS Touch. But now my Photostream images show as gray placeholders, and it says that they are the wrong file format. &quot;Make sure it is a valid PNG, GIF, BMP or JPEG&quot;.<br/><br/>It used to work.<br/><br/>It's broken, and even after deleting the app, and losing all my projects, Photostream does not work. I had to restore my iPad to get my projects back.<br/><br/>Adobe used to be the best.

There are a few bugs I have been having. I'll go to open a file I'm working on and it says it's not valid. And they have disappeared also.

This app has a lot of potential. I was an early adopter and now I'm stuck. A few things that would improve rating from me are resizing by pixel instead of percentage, a decent bump map filter, texture tiling, and more precise gradient shading. I still find myself having to rely on Gimp to make images look realistic and create real textures that can be used in apps I write. Early I switch to using this app, but now I can't sync with creative cloud. Can't get my files back on the iPad now. Please fix the basics.

Projects won't save, and old ones are now gone

It is pretty amazing to be able to use Photoshop wherever you go!<br/>But they changed the interface for the mobile version -I know Photoshop pretty well, so why should we have to learn a different way of doing things?<br/>The filehandling is not obvious either. <br/>Missing &quot;Hue&quot; change of color - A basic Photoshop function. Also would be nice if there were adjustment layers

This slimmed-down iOS version of Photoshop, or PS Touch, counts on the user having a working knowledge of the full Photoshop program; which is just as well, since the iOS version includes many advanced features found only in the desktop version, including unique ways to change parameters of nearly every tool. This will certainly lead to the confusion mentioned in other reviews, for those who don't use Photoshop on a regular basis, will find the interface and the terminology, drawn from the workflow of professional photographers, a bit intimidating. Photoshop is an high-end image editing, image enhancement, compositing and creation tool created by digital imaging pioneers a long time ago, to bring galaxies far, far away to the big screen, and our imaginations, as in the motion picture Star Wars.<br/><br/>Adobe has created a CPU and memory hungry iOS version of its equally demanding workstation application. The full Photoshop will run well on a desktop packed with 32GB memory, a formidable graphics processor and ample hard drive space. The task of retaining the principle features associated with Photoshop on an iOS device with 1GB of memory had to have been a daunting challenge for Adobe developers. The question is: could the do it, and did it work?<br/><br/>Yes. What an experienced Photoshop user can do with this amazing app is beyond what I, and many, expected. Granted, rendering text seemed to challenge the app tremendously, but it worked, and worked well. I really wish I could end my review at this point.<br/><br/>Only after several upgrades, many with new, and unnecessary features, did the app begin to grow unstable. Files saved to the Adobe Cloud, simply vanished (a known issue addressed by Adobe). Once Adobe included new and popular fonts, many of them simply appeared as Helvetica when applied to the image. This did little to help the already overtaxed font rendering issue. I no longer counted on PS Touch as a viable image-editing app. Freezes, forced reboots, lost documents, led me to fill my iPad with multiple copies of files in various stages of completion. Even then, I could never be certain if the images would be seen again. <br/><br/>To be fair, it may be that Adobe's plan for Photoshop Touch, is to keep building it to take advantage of the latest, most powerful iOS devices as soon as they are made available to the public. For me, it's water under the bridge. Once I returned to my 27-inch displays working with 30+ layers in the full 64-bit version of Photoshop, I soon weaned off the handy, but bug-ridden iOS version. I must admit That the iOS app is sorely missed.<br/><br/>The Bottom Line: There are many great image editing apps that are built more in line with what the majority of users want to accomplish with photos taken by their iPhones, iPads and so on. PS Touch has advanced features, many of which might be considered overkill by standard iOS photo editors. The app's propensity to freeze and lock up the user's gear, serves only to add to the frustration. Creativity is supposed to be fun!

I've been using this app on and off for a few years now. <br/><br/>My biggest complaint is the lack of updates/improvements/features to the app. The fonts are limited and the tools available are limited.<br/><br/>For $10, it's not bad, I'm just ready for some improvements. <br/><br/>It would also be nice to be able to go back and edit text without having to delete and start over.
