The sun has retreated from the earth, a week ago it shone its last, and now chaos has begun. People fear for their existence, and while scientists struggle to explain the phenomenon, the creatures of nightmare began to appear. Fear the Night!

Gamezebo: 5 Stars - “Playdek has once again hit it out of the park.” Appolicious: 4.5 out 5 Nerd Appropriate: “Nightfall on iOS is a great way to play cards with friends when you can’t get a gaming crew together.”

New In-App Purchase Expansion: Nightfall: Martial Law

Nightfall: Martial Law introduces many new characters, actions and new color combinations for creating chains and achieving kickers. Martial Law will also introduce the new "Feed" mechanic which will allow players to get even more uses out of their orders. The game also brings to the table a new “Wound” effect that is sure to surprise opponents.

In Nightfall, players must master hordes of ghouls, vampires and werewolves as they struggle to gain control of a post-apocalyptic world.

Begin with a set of starter Minions then draft cards into your private Archives, play cards into the Chain in order to maximize the effectiveness of your cards and Claim new Minions and Actions to pit against your foes. Attack your opponents every round in an effort to weaken your rivals. Time is limited and only mastering all Phases of the game will leave you standing as the victor at the end of the game.

Nightfall for iOS brings AEG's modern horror game to select iPods, iPhones and iPads.

Deep, addicting, engaging

This game has so many layers, and no two games will play out in the same way. Each turn provides you with so many meaningful decisions - it can be overwhelming at first, but it's worth learning!

Updates/expansions please

A deep game with a real learning curve

Nightfall is a fantastic game that has me playing over and over again to figure out the best strategies, combos, and card chains. I think the expansion (which is an in-app purchase) makes it all the stronger. The choices you make differ when playing with 2, 3, 4, or 5. And the AI is solid. That being said, the game is complex and has a steep learning curve. The interface is good but until you know what it's doing it will feel impenetrable. There's a tutorial, but it's so dense that it took me three or four times through to really grasp it. It's well written but there's a lot going on here. If you like deck building you should give Nightfall a chance. Just know going in what you're signing up for.

Awesome, high-quality game!

This game is an amazing port of a deck-building card tabletop game!! The quality is very high. Great graphics and audio that satisfies every moment. Full online multiplayer including asynchronous! Campaign modes. No greedy and patronizing ads everywhere. One VERY MODESTLY priced expansion is available to date, and adds great value and is very optional. I hope there's something we can do to grow the player base, because that's the only thing lacking--players to start games with! Let's make it free or 99 cents for a while to get some peeps hooked! 😊

Great game, but...

It needs Blood Country already. It needed it in back in 2012. It's starting to feel like abandonware. I hope AEG doesn't pull it to do it in-house. Or maybe I do. Yes, it's a super-deep game with an expansion big enough to play by itself, but for those of us who are playing obsessively, all the time, it needs freshened up, already. Playdek still doesn't realize what a well-populated server is worth to them. They should dial back the new great games just enough to be able to support the old great games (except Food Fight, just let that one die). I was upset that they released PVP instead of new cards for old games. PVP won me over, but it's already hurting for new cards because it comes with so few to begin with. Now Agricola's coming out, and it's gonna be awesome, too, but come on people, get with the program!

Good adaptation of a poor game.

As an app, it's well-designed and certainly looks nice. As a game it's pretty terrible. I've played my fair share of CCGs and other games with complex mechanics in my day, but with this one half the time I honestly have no idea what's happening or why. The lack of backstory and the non-uniqueness of the cards (each player can have multiple copies of the same character all fighting each other at the same time) make it hard to even care. As soon as I finish writing this review, I'm going to delete this thing and play Ascension instead.

Expansions????
