Brilliant port of a great game

by davidbrit2 · December 10, 2011

Space Tripper/Astro Tripper has been around on various platforms for about a decade now, and it's made the transition to iOS beautifully. The tilt control is very precise and responsive, and you can adjust the sensitivity and center position to your liking. This is my preferred method of control on the iPhone, as I find the touch control much too cramped and fiddly on the small screen. The larger iPad screen is much better for touch control, though I'm still on the fence about which I like better. Changing the game to use auto fire was also a good choice. I was skeptical at first, but I can assure you it doesn't make the game too easy. It will, however, prolong the life of the cartilage in your wrist. Anybody that has played the PS3 version at any length is no doubt familiar with the lingering pain. If you're into old-fashioned arcade-style shooters that don't cajole you with in-app-purchase nonsense, this is a must buy.

Great Game, Requires Icade Support

by Ravenclaw655 · October 23, 2013

Please add Icade Support to this game, touch controls on are quite difficult to work with. Also remove Open Feint, it just shut down back in 2012, please replace it with IOS Game Center Support, including an achievements board. Thank You, and Good Luck

Please Update for iOS 14!!

Such a wonderful game which brings nostalgia from my childhood. My siblings and I would take turns playing the demo on our Mac, so when I saw this on the App Store a few years ago, I had to get it! Unfortunately it no longer works except for on my old iPod Touch that still has it downloaded. Would love to play it again and finally beat it.

Needs Custom Music ability -

I've been playing Astro Tripper (space Tripper) for a year or two now on different consoles. Love the gameplay, graphics, everything rocks! But one thing they would let you do on different platforms is listen to your own music while playing. They used to incorporate it into the game! PLEASE FIX THIS. I would love to rock out to my own music while destroying my enemies!

Fantastic

Gets old real fast.. I don't like being stuck in a small fighting arena. What happened to these worlds suppose to being real big? Flying back and forth gets boring.
