8 of 15The “I’m working” animation with the goof ball eyes is distracting and childish. 2 stars off for that, it’s so bad.
The best and simplest! Been using it for years!
[cons]

- the new ui seems off, and complicated in a way.

* If you had the ability to change it to past ui’s—that would be amazing.

- only on mobile

[pros]

- Genuinely the best free editing app on mobile.

- Features added constantly

- No extra “premium” cost.

[wishes]

- Video section, this would genuinely make it the best app for both worlds of photography and cinematography—well—in mobile.
Snapseed is incredibly useful and has been my go-to for photo editing for years, but the unnecessary UI updates are beginning to sour my experience.
By the time I become used to the new layout and features, a new update moves all the buttons and menus around, and muscle memory has me constantly hitting the wrong options for the next few days.
I even googled how to use it and I put two photos in my collection with the only option I have is to remove any photos. There’s not a plus that’s supposed to be tools. There’s not a create anything button. I guess I’ll delete it even after I googled how to use it. It told me about a + that I don’t have so I don’t know the point of it. it’s so far I can put photos on it, but then leave them.
Honestly, I fell in love with this app. As person who has just gotten into the hobby of photography, I found it hard to edit my photos as most editing programs have a high price point. This app is completely free yet still offers most of the same benefits as other programs. Love it and would recommend!!!
It is much harder to use, I miss the old version
The new masking tools are very helpful. I wish in the future they can use masks to control blurring. If you wanted to make a background less sharp than the subject for example.
