Report an issueSuperimpose is a powerful multi-layer photo editor for creating composites, artwork, social posts, thumbnails, product images, profile photos, memes, and professional-looking visual edits.
Build your ideas with layers. Combine multiple photos, cut out people and objects, blend images together, add text, create shadows, apply filters, paint masks, adjust colors, and refine every detail with precise editing tools. When you want faster results, use AI tools to generate images, remove or replace backgrounds, enhance photos, and create new visual ideas from text.
Superimpose gives you the freedom to create complex edits directly on your iPhone or iPad. Start with a photo, a background, a cutout, an AI-generated image, or a blank canvas, then stack images as layers to build your final composition. Use masks to hide or reveal parts of each layer, blend modes to create double exposures and artistic effects, and adjustment tools to match color, light, and tone.
Whether you want to replace a background, make a surreal photo composite, design a poster, create a thumbnail, remove a background, blend two images into one, or generate creative assets with AI, Superimpose gives you the tools to do it with control.
Key features:
• Multi-layer photo editing • Combine and arrange multiple image layers • Two-layer and multi-layer compositing workflows • AI image generation from text • AI-assisted background removal and replacement • AI image editing and enhancement • AI tools for creating new visual assets • Advanced masking tools for precise cutouts • Brush-based masking and erasing • Blend modes for double exposure and creative effects • Opacity control for every layer • Transform, scale, rotate, and position layers • Perspective and distortion tools • Text tools for captions, posters, and designs • Photo filters and adjustment controls • Blur and depth effects • Cast shadow tools for realistic composites • Light and color matching tools • Reusable masks and cutouts • Project/session saving for continued editing • Export finished images for sharing, posting, or further editing

8 of 15This is my go to app on my iPad for making goofy superimposed photos for friends. It's quick and easy and does a great job for small projects where you don’t want to go to the trouble of using photoshop
Love it! 100/100
They are removing features that were already available and putting them behind monthly pay walls. This is after YEARS of the features (like zoom blur) being available with one time purchase. Horrible horrible.
.
I’ve been using super impose for years now, probably more than ten if I think about it! And it’s always remained the best editing app in my opinion!! It’s reliable and fun for me to use!
I love this app so much! Could not recommend it enough
Perfect for making quick PNGs
I adored this app for years. I purchased it many years ago and it helped me do a ton of things. Now, my purchase is obviously invalid because I have to pay to use the app. I understand if you want to make your app a subscription, but you should grandfather in the people who have already paid for the app. I’m not happy with the app because it’s not as useful as it once was and I’m not going to pay again for something I already paid for. I purchased the app. I did not lease it. I should be grandfathered in and allowed to use all functions unless they are in app purchases. I hate when developers do this – the Apple Store lets them so they can make more money. They don’t care about their customers. They just want money. I used to love this company and support all their apps, but I’m not going to anymore. The devs obviously don’t care.
