"Better than the birds!" Bug Chucker is a bugged-out projectile game with a whole different galactic gravitational perspective. It's an easy game to learn and a blast to master. (From Cyan Worlds: the makers of Myst & Riven.)

The Galactic Bugship S.S. Treehugger, honored bastion and conveyor of the Great Tree, is under attack by the evil Sawz, the robotic minions of Lord Lahguh. Your mission is to help the dutiful bugs save their ship and preserve its precious cargo by ridding the universe of the Sawz, one galaxy at a time. Ready... aim... chuck!
Feel the buzz!
Each galaxy in Bug Chucker has loads of levels. (The first galaxy has 42 - don't forget your towel!) And each level presents a whole new way to look at a solar system. Sometimes you just need to blast through some space debris to get to the Sawz. Other times it’s a bit trickier - as the Sawz shield themselves behind fence-fields, tuck themselves cleverly behind a moon, or plan their attack on the far side of a few planets, suns or even black holes. Don’t underestimate the gravity of the situation, or you might just find yourself in orbit.
Features: • Forty-two initial levels in the first galaxy with more on the way. • Graphics, physics, and gravity of astronomical proportions. • Start chucking the Ladybug and move up to the Beetle, the Grasshopper, and the Mosquito - each with their own special skill. And more bugs are waiting in the wings. • Three stars of achievement in each level - and if you can manage higher scores (good luck), you’ll further “shine” your stars. • Exclusive “left-hand” mode that allows the device to be flipped to make playing easier for lefties. • Unique dynamic scoring that lets the points roll in until you decide the level is over. • Trouble with a level? You're allowed two skips, so you don't get stuck. • Universal app that takes advantage of whatever iOS device you have - iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch (with full resolution supported on Retina display and iPad.)

8 of 24No stranger than the premise of some other very popular games I suppose. No matter, this game is a fun challenge, like most from Cyan. Great way to kill some time and very satisfying to win and move to the next level (and get three stars)! I recommend the game.
Great game! Great controls! For those having trouble not sure what you're missing. Touch, drag to aim, release when ready. Works like a charm. Even gives you a reference from your previous shot.
Love the left hand feature! Also love that you can keep the points accumulating even after killing the sawz! Sweet all around and I'm addicted already!
I'm a long-time Cyan fan. I like this game, it feels like a hybrid of Angry Birds-type crashing, mixed with the gravity aspects of Gravity Sling. A nice mix. A few things that is keeping me from being 5-stars: The buzzing sound on fail is annoying and loud. Far more annoying and loud as what could be acceptable for when you would lose. Something a bit more "oops" rather than "HAHAHA YOU LOSE YOU LOST" for example. Aiming can be very difficult. A fine-tuned aiming would be nice. And things need to be slightly faster pace with the way boxes bounce around. This is a good game though, and with promised updates, it's going to get better and I'll love to update my review. SlideToPlay rated it a 1/4, but it's definitely better than that. Not quite a 4, but maybe one day it will be. Cyan is known for awesome games, so buying this for $1 is an absolute no-brained.
Similar to the idea of angry birds where you aim and shoot for the target, but with a lot more strategy and creativity needed to complete the levels! Cute story, catchy soundtrack, and fun graphics! I'm already addicted! :)
I love this game! I can't stop playing!! This has easily replaced Angry Birds and become my favorite game!
In each of Bug Chucker‘s 42 levels, you are required chuck loads of different bugs through space in hopes of crashing into the evil robotic Sawz that lurk behind planets, force fields, and debris. You don’t always have to achieve a direct hit though, as floating debris can weaken and even destroy Sawz. Chucking bugs is accomplished by simply dragging your finger from the launcher towards your target and releasing. Since the battle against the Sawz takes place in space, you’ll have to utilize the gravitational pull from surrounding planets and black holes to take out your enemies before your bug supply is exhausted. Bug Chucker starts you off with the most basic of bugs, which in this case is the ladybug, but as you progress you’ll be provided with more advanced bugs like beetles, grasshoppers, and mosquitoes, each of which have their own special ability. Think Angry Birds‘ different colored birds. The game features star ratings for each level, the ability to skip a total of two levels, a left-handed mode, and Retina support. Cyan Worlds has also indicated that more levels, in the form of a new galaxy, will be arriving sometime in the future. Please add Game Center to the mix and we are talking the complete package here and something to finally give those birds a huge run for their nests!
You'll soon discover the controls are absolutely horrible. Glad I got the app for free, in its current state it isn't worth a penny. Has promise if you like Angry Birds type of games, and maybe in later versions they'll fix the (major) flaws. For now, don't bother. (Running on 4S w/ latest iOS.)
