Janryumon

I am a Chinese-American mahjong player, and I have to say this is simply the best online mahjong game (REAL mahjong) I have seen or played. The biggest problem was that I was not used to Japanese rules, nor can I read Chinese/Japanese characters, but the english tutorials are GREAT. The tutorial is conveyed through dialogue among colorful, female anime characters (quite ingenious) and as complex as the rules were, they did a superb job with the explanation. The mechanics are done so well and interface and visuals are so good that I am willing to play mahjong with different rules than I am used to (hong kong rules vs japanese rules). The online play is just fantastic. I recommend this game to anyone with an iOS device who has enthusiasm for mahjong. I just cannot stress how well-made this game is. It will get you hooked!!!

Forget all other buggy worthless MJ games and play this one only. Stunning graphic, great audio and informative tutorial.

I would like to play, but the app is loading extremely slow.

...for not making a silly matching game. Janryumon mobile is a dream. It looks GREAT, plays so smoothly and most importantly, has an excellent online element. Connections are smooth and stable (better than some console games...) and it is so easy to just get online and play....a lot. I love this...thanks so much!

I was very excited to find the most authentic Mahjong app out there, especially since it said it was compatible with iOS 4.0 or better (I have a 2nd-gen iPod Touch but software version 4.2.1, so I thought I was good.) Despite that, it only gets to the screen that says "NCSOFT" and then it crashes. Is the iOS not the same thing as the version of software I have installed? I don't know if it can be fixed or not, but if this is a bug, PLEASE FIX! Once I can play, I'm confident I'll change my rating to a 5 just based on what I see in the other reviews!

Sitting at 0% loading screen forever. Meh.

best ever mobile online mahjong game

We're two weeks into October and this app still hasn't been fixed to support iOS 7. There is a warning when you launch not to upgrade to iOS 7, so clearly the developer is aware, but that doesn't help iPhone 5s owners.
