Alexandria in Egypt 48BC.

The country is divided by civil war pitting Cleopatra's supporters against those of her brother and husband, Ptolemy, who is ravaging the country. In this climate of terror, Thomas, a young apprentice to Akkod, Cleopatra's astrologist and astronomist, falls in love with his master's daughter. One day, in horror, he discovers that both master and daughter have been kidnapped.

Thomas sets out on their trail and learns in the course of his investigations that Cleopatra herself had asked Akkod to make a specific divination, and that the partisan of Ptolemy are behind the kidnapping. Cleopatra promises Thomas that in exchange for the tablets required for the divination, her guards will find the master and his daughter.

Thomas's investigations lead him to the discovery of Egypt's legendary sites such as the Library of Alexandria and the Lighthouse. Without the prophecy, the country will be lost; the destiny of Egypt and its Queen are in his hands.

Difficult game

by xnsne1 · October 26, 2011

Graphics are great but you definitely need the walkthrough, more than normal for me. Some of the puzzles are very long and involve a lot of steps make a mistake and you have to start all over again. My biggest issue is that I'm close to the end of the game and it keeps crashing. this is the second game in the last couple of weeks that this is happened to me. If I could have finished the game I would have given in 4 stars.

Hate this game! I am so lost and there is not enough hints to help you get thru. I wish I could get my money back! Don't buy this game!

I like this game but when I got to the lighthouse and fixed the dial, it would not spin so I can't get the door to open or the chariot to move.

Good Story/Engaging

I liked this one. In fact I like all of Coladia's games. I find them to be very well done. Yes, there are a few glitches common to iPad games of this type. An example in this game: the globe was finicky and hard to manipulate at times. But this did not detract from the overall game play. Good story line. I recommend this one. I would welcome more games of this type from Coladia and other developers.

What a waste of money. I didn't try it before I bought the full game. Going in circles. The pace is slow. I am sorry I trusted reviewers. The Dracula series from anuman was excellent. This looked to be same style. Graphics average. Just very disappointed!

I really like this game, and had no problems with it until the new update. Now it closes every time I try to go towards Akkad's globe. Please fix!

The adventure game I've been looking for

by ~klb~ · April 11, 2012

As a fan of Myst on the Mac, I've been looking for similar games on the iPad, and this is the one that's come closest. If you're tired of hunting for arbitrary objects & solving irrelevant mini-games, Cleopatra has real problem-solving challenges that require logic, observation, & ingenuity. It's also a much lengthier game than most hidden object/mini-game adventures, with a coherent plot, interactions with other characters, and gorgeous settings. It doesn't have quite the captivating, mysterious ambiance of Myst, but by far the best substitute (other than Myst itself) I've found for the iPad.
