8 of 25It copies text from a PDF - sounds like a robot & costs you more money for larger documents with text. Pass on this app! I want my money back!!
I am developing a system to teach language, and the app has become a fantastic partner to import voices into animate the characters.
Will not save audio... Says not enough memory when I actually have GIGABYTES of memory available... No bueno
In order for the app to read anything of significant length, you must purchase additional offline voices. This is BS for spend more money for it to work. This is completely dishonest.
Best app around for those who don't have time to read or prefer voice over print..after downloading one professional English woman's voice, I've been listening to a lot of good articles and/or writings on the net. Had problems with Opera for iPhone but safari's ability to copy all makes it a breeze to cut and past text. Save as text which uses the least amount of data. Reads and speaks PDFs.. I also use a jailbroken app called monosb which allows all audio on iPhone to be heard on bluetooth headset. Slick program..no one thinks you are being a rude youngster walking about with those omnipresent white subtly flashing name dropping conspicuous consumption apple headphones... Unless you tend to hum to yourself while listening to music;p enjoy, get it.<br/><br/>UPDATE: 11/11/14<br/>I upgraded my iPhone to the six and I was having problems saving audio files. I texted the support at Linguatech, and they responded promptly and gave me advice to address a memory issue with my phone. Great support deathly recommend this product now!<br/><br/>"Please close the Voice Reader in the multitasking bar.<br/>Therefore double-tap on the home button. This will bring up the multitasking display, showing your "recently used" apps. Press and move the screenshot of the desired app towards the top of your screen.<br/>Restart Voice Reader.<br/> <br/>Before creating an audio file please change the settings in the menu “settings” > “Save audio” > “Format” and “Quality” to:<br/>a) WAV<br/>b) 16 kHZ or 8 kHz<br/>Does it work now? If yes, the reason is a problem with the memory on your device.<br/> <br/>What you could also check:<br/>Please synchronize all audio and text files which you stored in Voice Reader with your iTunes on your PC / Mac.<br/>Then delete the entries in the menu “open in” via “Edit” and “Delete”.<br/>After this: please try again to save an audio file
I'm using this app and sharing the audio (wav) to other App (Twistedwave) with the open in option, and works great. I just can suggest more english and Spanish voices.
I use this to read very long books and play video games at the same time. There are multiple voices and it is not pricey compared to for what you get. The voices are clear and you can digest large amounts of information at a time with this app. Recommended.
by Theophilus<br/><br/>The app reads quite well in English and Spanish. The dowloaded voices work well.<br/><br/>BUT it doe not have written instructions nor of any kind to manage the text rythm. What does the : mean, the , the ;. That is how can i manage the voice to read with certain rythm.
