Report an issuePush Browser is a fully featured web browser for iOS device that lets you instantly share links across mobile devices and desktop browsers.
What makes Push Browser different from other solutions is that it also sends links from iOS to desktop by pushing data to the browser using Comet.
Suppose you're reading an interesting article on your favorite news website and need to leave for an urgent appointment. Simply click the extension icon in your desktop browser to send the link to your iOS device and Push Browser will automatically open the link, ready for you to view on the go.
It works the other way round too. When using your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, it is easy to come across long articles, maybe it's a page that's design-intensive or just isn't what you want to view at the moment. Push Browser allows you to send those articles or pages from iOS to your desktop browser with the push of a button.
Push Browser works by using a web service to connect your desktop browser to your iOS device. Once you have the app installed, all you need to do is download a browser extension from http://pushbrowserapp.com to get started.

It doesn't work, can't work. You download this app (after paying for it of course) and then go to their site to install the Chrome extension. With me so far? But wait, you can't install the extension because Chrome won't let you install extensions that aren't in their chrome store. I get that. What I don't get is why it's not in the chrome store. I've basically been sold snake oil if its impossible for this thing to work.
I think it's supposed to auto discover devices. That didn't happen, and there is no FAQ, settings, etc to investigate. Did I miss a step? Who knows, their web site consists of a download button and an elevator pitch. Could be re-branded "zombocom"
The app works when it wants. I have it hooked up to an iMac, MacBook, iPhone and iPad and when I push the send button I have to cross my fingers as it hardly sends. The only fix is to uninstall and reinstall the chrome extension or to sign out then back in to the push browser for the machine. Pushing to the iPhone and iPad seem to work fine, but pushing to the desktop and laptop Google Chrome is where the problem is. Also to note that the link pushed from the desktop to the Idevice won't open until you close and reboot the app.
The browser is as capable as Safari (plus tabs!) but the main seller is the ability to push/pull links with your desktop Chrome. And that ability just works. Well. Such a time-saver that I've been looking for for awhile.
It does exactly what is says in the description. What can I say, I'm pleased.
So you get your new iPad and maybe your friend has one too. Or maybe she has an iPhone. You both might want to catch up on news or read your favorite blogs and you read something that you want to share. Turns out, without this app it isn't that easy. You are going to copy and paste the link then open Mail, then create the email and send? Maybe there is a link to tweet it on the page, but then you have to log in and add her twitter name, but now you are over the limit so you have to edit the tweet. This is not what you want to do. You want to share that story immediately and have the webpage open immediately on your friends device just like if you handed her the Metro section from the newspaper. That is exactly what this app does. It is awesome. Even if your friend is in another app, this will give them a pop up notification. It also allows you to sync and share tabs with Google chrome so that if you are in the middle of a long article on your computer you can send it to another device to read on the go. There are some features I would love to see added but even as it is now, a stripped down super fast tab enable iOS browser with link pushing, it is worth every penny.
