8 of 25I have read CBC news for a while now and enjoy it. Suddenly I need a Canadian postal code to create an account??
I like that it doesn’t have sensationalized titles. I also like that I can view local news or view national news. Lastly, I like the coverage of news happening with First Nations communities and with the territories. You don’t hear much about them but it’s important to be aware of the struggles and successes of our fellow Canadians living up north.
This is a pretty decent news app. I might give it 5 stars if it didn’t keep logging me out, requiring me to login every day or two before I can even browse the headlines.
Love CBC news but can no longer read without being banged by casino ads! AWFUL!!
would love more granular control of alerts/notifications

have sports unchecked in profile yet constantly bombarded with sports alerts. can’t determine if these are part of top stories, breaking news, or some other bundled alert. will have to turn off top news and breaking news just to get rid of sports which is not ideal
Has been two days now. Different ads. Isn’t exiting as display promises. Looks like poor design. Seems going to have to uninstall. Will just go to their website means reading less often. Kitchen cabinet ad isn’t even relevant. I rent an apartment😂
And the interface won’t allow me to use the only version I can download.

Forcing me to purchase a new device over an ap update is rude
Want to listen to music while reading CBC news? Well you can’t. Every time you scroll to an ad the app overtakes audio and your music stops playing.
