Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. This app gives you the option to turn off the GPS tracking in the background to prolong the battery life. It is also suggested that you bring with you an external battery.
Note: This app relies on GPS for its navigation functions. For best experience, it is recommended to use the app on iPhone and iPad cellular+WiFi models. It is not recommended to use the app on iPad WiFi-only models due to lack of built-in GPS support in these models.

8 of 25This app made visiting another city a better experience. Just enough information, well executed. Highly recommend
This is my go-to app when we travel, whether we’re on our own or with a group tour. I’m pleased to find both large and small towns throughout Europe in the app. We use it both for advance planning and for on the ground guided walks. It’s significantly enhanced our travel experiences.
This app is one of the best things I’ve used during my travels. It lets you build your own itineraries or it will do it for you. I found the interface easy to use for both creating my itineraries and when using the downloaded itinerary. Being able to download the itinerary and use off-line was a game changer. I would create an itinerary on my iPad then download and use it on my iPhone. When I couldn’t figure something out I would use the help in the app and on-line. Both were useful. Not only does it guide you but it also provides information about each point of interest, both written and with audio. I used an iPhone and ear buds. It was also great at getting me back on course when I would veer off to see something of interest that was not on my itinerary. The company is very responsive to their customers so that was an added bonus. I highly recommend GPSmyCity.
Tried the free trial and it automatically charged me for a full year at the completion of the trial without any warning.
I’ve been using this app for about two years as we’re retired and traveling a great deal these days. I love this app because it gives me city tours to follow and information about what we’re seeing in many cities. I also like that it has a speaker so I don’t have to read it. My husband likes that too…
We just came from a European trip where we used this app in 5 different cities. It was like having our own personal tour guide! Gave us great flexibility and advice at each destination. Highly recommended!
I wanted to do a walking tour of Tarragona, Spain with my family. However, there are many places of historic and cultural significance that were not available to add to existing ‘walks’. The two I was trying to add were the Mediterranean Balcony that is less than 500 feet from the Roman amphitheater; and the Roman Aqueduct, which is about few miles from the other ruins but is very much a part of the historical ruins of the Roman era. I would like a refund, but I am like one day past the 3 day free trial.
We used it in 8 different cities in Europe, and now 2 in the US. Great way to see the highlights of a city!
