This app has been very helpful teaching my son the correct sound hearing the sound of the letters over and over again and seeing the pictures that go along with it have been a big help.

If it did, I would have kept this app. I guess it's more aimed for kids who already know the letters and not their sounds.

My son just got accepted to preschool and he is 2 and 1/2 years old. He loves this application. He is just learning how to talk and this is a great tool for him to learn in his own time how to pronounce the words. As a result, he is developing great diction.

My son likes the child's voice. It is great for learning to sound out letters.

This app uses all the proper learning methods. Research shows using lower-case letters instead of upper case are preferred. I read this is true partly because the written word is primarily in lower case letters and children need to learn to recognize and understand lower case letters first. The app also uses realistic imagery. This is important for children to have an actual visual of the object for proper brain development. For example, I've read that some children who've seen the popular Sesame Street Big Bird as a very young child think it's a real bird. &quot;o&quot; for ostrich is correct. This is a very good app and I highly recommend it.
