Europe - Offline map with directU - (free)

The map is not that useful not being able to find a street or the location that you are while not online. And the map itself is innacurate and does not show enough details. This is not a tool you can completely rely on, but helps in some occasions.

I wish I had found this earlier in my trip through Europe. Truly is Internet Connection free once loaded. Couple of things to note. The speed is off by a factor of 4. The fastest train I took in Italy got up to 300 KM/HR, not 1,200. You can set a Favorite, which then shows with a star on the map, but you cannot select it then to see what that is or set it as a destination. I had several museums and restaurants set as favorites in Florence, but had to go to my list of favorites and select them 1 by 1 to figure out what the star a few blocks away was. Once I was sure which favorite I wanted to head to, I then had to drop a temporary pin and select as destination. Would make more sense to be able to select a star on the map and have it pop up its given name with an option to set as a destination. The metro lines in Paris and London are mapped as far as their actual routes, but not the station points and names. I need to try to figure out how to edit the maps at OpenStreetMap.

Please! Developer keeps all of the offline maps alive (include N. America), any new featured app should be released as a separated issue. Every map lover will be appreciated.

I downloaded this app for a road trip in Spain, and it was a complete failure. The map would not load even though I had already downloaded it before I left. The gps couldn't even find me. What a waste!!!!

This app deserve 5/5 stars! Its simle accurate, working perfectly, saving money when iam out of my country (off net) etc... Highly recomended!

I have a 4g ipod touch and i love all these free offline maps!! They have all done great up till now!! I can always find where I am online but when I need to find where I am offline it has not worked yet.

This saved me in France where I didn't have 3G service. Once I downloaded the app I didn't need Internet access. The app took a long time to download cause the map is all if Europe but that's the beauty of it. In regards to the review by Mircea, turn off Elevation in the settings and then it won't look like coastal areas are underwater. Also I don't think this app has navigation but it is free not $50 like TomTom.
