8 of 25Before you upload the new app 3.0 and charge customers a higher price for basically the same app, you could at least make dark mode available on DEVONthink 2.7 !! One last thing as soon as you stop updating the old app I will stop using DEVONthink and leaving it for similar app which is better and less expensive. I advise the other customers to do the same and use Documents from Readlle !!!!! Adios !
It takes me 20 min to figure out how to sync. Each time.
Interface seems off...just not intuitive. I find myself fumbling around. That is when I can get my data synced. Which never works. I have resorted to relying on a local sync because iCloud just does not work. I love Devon Think, but frankly it’s just easier for me to just use my FILES app on iOS.
Great app for document management. Have used now for years.
I really like how the app looks but it does crash a lot when I try to just read PDFs. Update: Because of the constant crashing, I use the app differently than I intended: I race to search for a certain file to export it to a more stable app. The search works very well (a core feature of DevonTech apps), but it feels like an unnecessary game to grab a file before the app crashes again. The company says the past update is one of the last maintenance patches. I’d say before moving on to version 3 and charging existing users for it, let this app go on a high note of stability. Let me know how I can export crash reports so you can at least see what might be the issue. Even if you move on to version 3, what guarantees that that one doesn’t carry the baggage of this app?
Problematic with writing on ipad
Starting Version 3.0 this is going to be subscription pricing!!!! Used to be one of my favorite apps, but I’m migrating away from it at light speed. Subscription models are an absolute no go. Imagine, you put together your infrastructure as an independent contractor and you hit a rough spot. There’s no problem continuing your work with last year’s version: you simply don’t upgrade if you’re short on cash. But if you’re using a subscription app, when you may need it most, it will stop working, because you can’t afford the dozens of subscriptions. I successfully phased our Adobe apps, and I’ll successfully phase out this one. There’s no way I’ll use ANY app that holds MY DATA HOSTAGE, and that will stop working when I may need it most and can afford it the least. BOYCOTT SUBSCRIPTION MODEL PRICING!!!
Extremely poor text editing. MP4 files added and download don’t play. Sync slow Keep it for Mac and IOS is not as powerful but for superior. The iOS app mirrors the Mac app Can’t believe this app is 17 years old. No dark mode, UI and UX are extremely limited in comparison to the Mac app. If the task manager 2Do with one developer can make that app as feature rich as the Mac app I don’t understand why so many other companies provide a gimped down version for iOS. If you work from Mac only Devonthink for Mac is superior. If you work from both or iOS first. Then Keep It is a better choice. For god sake 12/01/2020 Update this app already!
