Color Memory Match is the best in class of matching games, designed from the ground up to be fun and educational. Your child will love hearing the names of colors while trying to match them.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: Downloaded Color Memory Match earlier today for my 1 1/2 year old. Now I can't get my iPhone back without him having a tantrum. - Twitter (@tantrumapps)

GAMEPLAY: Color Memory Match features 2 modes of play with 3 difficulty levels to be enjoyed by kids of all ages.

CARDS FACE UP: Younger children can start with just 4 cards face up (2 pairs), finding each color's match. This is a great way to start developing your child's cognitive skills at an early age. As your child gets older and more comfortable with the game, they can advance to 12 cards face up (6 pairs) or even 20 cards face up (10 pairs).

CARDS FACE DOWN Older children can develop their memorization skills starting with 4 cards face down (2 pairs). Only two cards are shown at once, exercising memory retention. If you're really feeling gutsy, you can advance to 12 cards face down (6 pairs) or the extra difficult 20 cards down (10 pairs).

FEATURES: - 6 modes of play challenging kids of all ages - Face up cards help younger kids learn matching - Face down cards help older kids with memorization skills - 12 colors are randomly displayed, so you never play the same game twice - Universal app. One download plays on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch - Optimized for iOS4 and the new iPhone 4 Retina Display!

It's alright

But it'd be better if the highlighting of the squares didn't change the color of the touched square.

I was hoping to get an app to help my color memory. Why is this guy talking even when my volume is all the way down?

Good game. Also try Very Simple Game.

At first I thought, man this thing is handicapped. Once I actually read the description. Oh, its for children. Duh Bob. For a child, this is Good. If youd let a tyke juggle your iphone.

Bad parents!

Anyone who says this app is helpful to their child's development is an idiot who probably also uses the television as a baby sitter. The lag between pressing a square and the square showing up as "pressed" is so long that my 18 month old has no clue that she is pressing anything. This game is an epic fail.

Great addition to the Tantrum Apps lineup!

My 2 year old daughter is just learning her colors, so Color Memory Match came along at just the right time in her development! We play "face up" so that she can touch a color, hear the app tell her the name of the color, and then she can match the color to reveal more of the picture underneath. This process is already helping our daughter be mroe confident in identifying colors and saying the names of the colors out loud! All the Tantrum Apps are terrific, and this one is very timely. Oh, and it's free!!! A no-brainer!

why do the color squares turn into a different color when you touch them? and the revealed picture after all that matching is not reinforcing

Good concept, careless execution

The need for this type of game is real, and I like the different levels this game offers. Having a face-up option is really helpful. However, highlighting the selected color with another color is a truly awful idea-- so confusing for the child. And the delay between the matching and the reward -- perhaps it is well intended, but it will actually confuse the child more. Can you fix these issues?
