Nikon D700 - Nifty

by Cooperman65 · February 24, 2013

I too, built the Xmtr from Radio Shack components. Pretty easy if you're handy w/soldering Iron. The biggest limitation, and thus a 4 star rating, is that the app limits your fastest shutter speed in HDR mode to .3 seconds - or as my D7000 reports it: 1/4 - 1/2 sec. You can compensate somewhat by cranking up ISO for correct exposure. But, in-a-nutshell, there'll be lots of trial and error involved. I don't know if the .3 sec shutter speed is a limitation of utilizing IR?? Otherwise it's a pretty handy little app!!

What did you do to the buttons?

The buttons at the bottom look huge and terrible.

Great app and very responsive sales/support!

I bought both the DSLR.BOT app and IR transmitter, I am very satisfied with the app features/quality. I experienced some issues with the app (specific to Canon T2i/T3i) but the sales/support team always replies and is able to provide solutions.

Use to work great! Now it doesn't

This app use to work great and everyone who saw me using it thought it was awesome and I spoke highly of it. However, since the most recent update it doesnt work at all with my iPhone 4 and my canon 60D!!!! Please fix this! Until then... Don't waste your money!

dslr.bot works seamlessly with my Canon T4i. I am using it for remote triggering in Movie mode with the camera mounded to a crane. Thank you for a nifty little app that works great.

Perfect

This thing works perfect with my Nikon d3000 and infrared remote adapter I bought at the dslr.bot website. Even works with my iPod touch! Love it!

Enjoy using it for video/photo capture. I purchased an extra long extension so I can remote control my camera from far distance.

Its been working great, then i stoped using my camera for a while and Im assuming there has been an update because it hasn't worked sense, they need to take a look at this.
