8 of 15Wont work on my iPhone. I click on the app and then the first page appears and then it disappears. Why?
As a parent working on articulation at home I love this app! I really love the recording feature and the sentence cards. The one thing I would change however would be the scoring icons and sound effects. The frowny face and "awww" when they miss one is a bit discouraging. I would love to have just a check or a plus or something - and a way to turn the sound effects off. Thanks! I will definitely look for more great add-ons to this app.
Great SLP app and works great. My son likes it!
I did an in App purchase to buy the entire Artikpik bundle. The download was incomplete and I now have only four of the entire bundle?!?!? I sent the request for the tech support and after a week I have NO REPLY!!!!! This is a customer satisfaction business ladies and gentlemen and if your app doesn't fully download EVERY TIME your backend developer has some explaining to do--- or they need to have an alternate download correction for when this happens.
Oh, I wish my app would not have updated. I am not loving this update at all. Actually this update seems more like an entirely new app. I think it would have been much better to launch this as a new app that could somehow be an add on to the old version if people wanted. Or maybe purchase as a new app. I purchased the previous version because of the simplicity and ease of use. I have lots of students who practice on their own using the old version and that is not really possible with this app. It's cumbersome and frustrating and not at all user friendly. I really really hope to have the old version back!!! This definitely is not an app I will recommend. I do see the benefit to some of the things on the new version but I wish it was a choice to use it the way it is currently set up.
I was disappointed with the pictures, vocabulary selection and the phoneme selection for many of the processes. For stopping there is no initial /f/...but there is both initial and final /th/...which would be the last targets I would even think of picking. This is an odd choice, especially for the preschoolers who would most likely be stopping. This is also true for FCD as well. There is no /f, p, t/ but there is /v,z/...odd. As far as pic and vocabulary selection, for "lie" there is a pic of stick figure taking an oath with a big red X over it. Not too many preschoolers would ever get that. For "sue" there is a pic of legal scales and a stick figure looking at it...again, not kid friendly, and how many young kids know what "keen" is. There is no multiuser option for groups like there is in ArtikPix...how come. The playback feature does not work on iOS5 and shuts the entire app down. Overall a big disappointment.
Any way to sort words by syllable length?
I absolutely love love this app for speech therapy. The words and pictures are well chosen. My clients love to be able to hear themselves say the words. Since it is on an iPad, the draw of the technology is enough that we can do straight drill with the flash cards and still have happy campers.

A con? The plus/minus system for if a child articulates the word correctly is a happy face and sad face. The sad face says "aww" when you tap it. You can turn the sound off on that luckily, but even very young kids are smart enough to see if I am tapping a sad face over and over because they just aren't getting it. It is nice that older kids can use the faces to listen and rate themselves, but an option to hide the data collection with maybe a different symbol would be ideal.

On the note of data collection... So easy! It automatically calculates for percentages for the item in words and sentences based on the data collection buttons (sad and happy faces) you tap. Gives a fraction ( 15/30 ) and the percentage.

Kids love this app and so do I! No more clunky are decks for me :)
