My honest feedback focuses on the new sign-in feature and the lack of dependency regarding app refresh.
I've consistently experienced a lack of refreshed new's highlights when reopening the app. The latest version crashes far too often and its to the point now that I've begun to look for an app to replace Pulse; however, there is nothimng quite like Pulse.
The customization and ease of scrolling through various resources is what had me telling all my friends about this great app a few years ago, but now with the developer issues coupled with the requirement to sign in via Linked In leaves me lamenting for the greatness and uniqueness that once was Pulse. I'm not the only one expressing this vantage point; just read users reviews immediately following the latest update and you'll find similar users expressing a common dissatisfaction with the future outlook of Pulse.
You asked how I'd improve the Pulse experience and I've given only negative feedback so I'll close with where I began: go back to go forward.
-M
Great app but won't install since last update. And I agree with someone since LinkedIn took over app looks better but having issues. I go to this reader less now than I used to. Get it right developers. Please!!
This is my #1 app but it won't update as of yesterday and won't open.... Please fix bug.
Latest update will not finish downloading-- now the app is just sitting dim on screen. I can neither access nor delete it and am not terribly pleased with the repeated failures that have occurred since LI took over what was once the absolute best newsreader app in the store. Developers: please stop this continuing debauchery & fix the update! (Please).
I've used pulse for nearly 5 years, and now I'm switching to something else. It won't let me add feeds manually from URLs... so it's a fancy RSS reader without the ability to read RSS feeds. Brilliant!! I also have to force-close the app once every time I open it in order to get the thumbnails to display. Looks like LinkedIn acquired Pulse, ruined it, and has abandoned it.
Great app. Worth all the weight in the news world.
All the media in one app. Can't go wrong with that!👍
