8 of 25Oh my goodness, if you want to challenge your brain this is a game for you. Several times I thought I would never get to go any further as I was stuck but persistence paid off and clues helped too. Don't know if I will ever make it all the way to the end but I am sure going to try.
Really neat puzzles!!
The game is fun as reported but you only get so many hints and the puzzles seem to get harder as the game progresses. In each scene you can collect two "Eurekas" or game dollars. If you are stuck you Buy hints with the Eurekas. The hint cost increases as the game progresses. Last hint I bought was 30 Eurekas. Some puzzles are compulsory so you either buy hints with eurekas and solve or pay Eurekas to skip. If you don't have enough you have to purchase more from iTunes store, starting at $.99 for 75 Eurekas. Another problem is I cannot pass the puzzle similar to the "flight control" game bit with cars that come in fast from all directions and you have to avoid collisions and get them in garages. But there is no option to skip it. I can't move on even if I purchased more Eurekas. You should be able to skip any you wanted or after a specific number of attempts, or earn more Eurekas instead of having to pay money for them. Once you buy an app or game you should only have to pay more if you want enhancements.

I played Professor Layton my DS and paid 25 dollars for it - this game is JUST AS GOOD and I paid 99 cents. To compare it to Professor Layton: 1. The Eureka system is much easier and fun to use than the coins in Layton. 2. The puzzles are about equal - maybe a bit easier in this game though. 3. Several puzzles (I could about 4 already) are essentially the same - move blocks around to clear an exit path for a specific box/picture/etc. 4. The story is worthless and only serves to set up scenes for puzzles - and those setups are often so forced that you wish they weren't even there. Meet a homeless man on the road? He can give you directions to the place you're trying to find - but not until you solve his puzzle! 5. ENORMOUS value for 1 dollar but little replay value - a great buy for a family to have and play through together. Strong recommendation- especially with the price.
The overall plot is ok, but the development is pretty bad. Dialogue and characters tend to be pretty cheesy. The puzzle instruction sometimes lack full explanation. For 99 cents it was a pretty cool puzzle game.
I would buy one. I bought this for the puzzles. One star for good puzzles, another for decent graphics, a third for story line. But lose the action games like parking attendant. Or give us the ability to skip them (with a penalty of course). As it is, I'm done till there's an update. It really stinks.
