8 of 25I played the flash version of the game on my laptop and decided to get it for my iPhone. Unfortunately the game needs to be updated. There are a lot of glitches. The pink boxes that you are supposed to get rid of during gameplay do not disappear when they're supposed to, so it's sometimes hard to remember which boxes you have and have not gotten rid of. Also, the hints still appear even after turning them off in the options menu. I recommend taking advantage of the $0.99 deal going on right now though because it'll be back to $1.99 soon. Please fix the glitches Namco!
for anyone who doesn't read other user reviews (or just ignores negative ones), this game will make no sense. for this game, i fell into the former group and bought this on sale based off of external reviews. there are a bunch of bugs in this version that leave the game playable, but with no clear reason as to why anything happens. you'll clear levels, ghosts will turn blue, cakes will get squashed off the playing field, and you'll get a game over, all without knowing why. it doesn't help that the instructions/tutorials aren't very helpful. (possibly) unrelated to ios4 bugs, the controls are often unresponsive. and since you can't make any moves until a chain has run its slow course, you'll be swiping on ghosts to move them over and over. if the developer wants to support rotating the screen to play in landscape mode, they should at least rotate everything, not just the playing field...or have an option to lock the orientation. there's no reason this should still not be updated. namco is a huge developer with enough resources to have had an update already. maybe they're just readying an update that will have in-app purchasing...do not buy this game. update: and they even raised the price! this company is becoming a joke.
this says it was updated however it still crashes on load up - boo!! cant play it. please fix this!
I bought this game the day of the OS4 update psuh - it has never worked once for me. It crashes on start up. I hope someday they patch it and it works....but after this many reviews telling them about the problem, I am getting worried. Please fix the problem! >_<
It is a lot like bejewled
Fix this game !!!. We PAID for it and you repeatedly do NOT fix the issue. I am running it on a iPod 3G. Are you running a SCAM with THIS GAME? FIX IT!!!!!!!! Interestingly the only version that does not crash upon loading is 1.0, every other version crashes. Too bad 1.0 has way to many other bugs also. Who is programming this app? Amazing incompetence!
Game breaking bugs have been around SINCE DAY ONE of the 4.0 update. Banco still has not made A SINGLE F¥€|<ING update for this junk. I have seen apps better made and butter updated than this coming from people programming in their bathrooms. Namco should be ashamed of themselves. As it stands I will NEVER buy another Namco title on the AppStore and neither should you.
Love the iPad version of the game, but unfortunately the iPhone version has a fatal bug (as mentioned by a previous reviewer): On the 3GS at least, the completed tiles do not change color. This makes it virtually impossible to complete the more advanced levels as you'd have to memorize the completed tiles. Unless they fix this bug, the game cannot be seriously recommended to anyone (the iPad version, however, is great!) Addendum: Namco also apparently really doesn't care about customer complaints. The support link above leads to their site, but to a broken link and they do not respond at all to e-mails.
