After countless attempts looking for an iPhone application that would teach our kids the Cyrillic alphabet and correct Russian pronunciation we came to the realization that there was no such app. So, we decided to create such an app ourselves.
Throughout the development of iAzbuka we shared the app with our kids, discussed it with our friends and local preschool teachers, and even selected the artwork and the soundtrack which our kids liked the most. iAzbuka's easy-to-use interface and straightforward knowledge quiz make this app not only educational but loads of fun. Did we mention that the app will also keep your child busy for some time at home, in the car or at the playground!
iAzbuka includes: - 33 letters of the Cyrillic alphabet; - color-coded vowels and consonants; - playful and colorful artwork; - an easy-to-use interface* to keep your child engaged; - a narrated soundtrack** to learn correct Russian pronunciation; - and an entertaining knowledge quiz.

8 of 10So far the best app on the market for teaching Russian alphabet to kids, period! (Not that there are many of this kind out there anyways). It is simple enough for a toddler to figure out how everything works, yet very entertaining – my 2-years old just keeps playing with it and seem to like it very much. Like the voiceover. Like the shaking feature. Music gets a little annoying with time, but my kid does seem to enjoy it (and it can be turned off). Would love to see other languages, like English, Spanish or French for multilingual children.

Though all others would know alphabet already. )) Simple, easy to navigate without adult help. Suitable even for very liitle ones. If they can hold iPhone, they could play it. If not, they would like you playing it for them. Best: teaches sounds first - must for easy start in reading. Tip: you can turn off Background music from the 1 st page. Работает как развлекаловка тоже: Надоел алфавит, можно подиджействовать. :)
So I can't hear how the letters are pronounced. Bad.

My daughter and I have a lot of fun with this app. It's great for kids and for anyone learning Russian. I highly recommend it.
I've used several Russian alphabet apps, even a few programs for pc. I have to tell this is the best i've seen for learning the Russian alphabet. an extra feature or two would be nice, like a few games.
Compared to other apps like this in English, this app is just okay. In addition to the alphabet, it also has a multiple choice test but it just goes on and on- kind of boring. My toddler is not interested. You need to add some fun to this app.
