DSB Billet

The app is nice for checking schedules; it seems to be the same basic platform as other countries’ apps. But to buy a ticket it needs your mobile # and only lets you select a Scandinavian country, Netherlands, Germany or the UK.

Unless you are a Scandinavian,Brit or German, forget about buying tickets through the app. There is a limited number of country codes when registering. If this is expanded then it would be much more useful.

I use this app often to purchase my train tickets. Last week I bought a ticket between Aarhus and KBH and on the day of the trip I went to go check on the time of my train on the app and realized the ticket had disappeared. I called DSB and they said that I would have to send an email to get reimbursed and buy a new ticket in the meantime. Pretty frustrating since it took most of my morning to get it straightened out and I'm still out 400dkk. Lesson learned- just print the tickets from now on.

The app works well and thankfully is in English. I would like to choose my seats when paying for a reservation. If this is possible, it's not obvious how to do it.

DSB seem to have gone out of their way to make buying a ticket for tourists complicated. Useless app unless you are from Scandinavia or Germany. But at least of matches the rest of the service level at DSB. My advice. Rent a car :-) DSB is just a wee bit too much sad reality. Who needs that when just visiting?

Basically this app is racist for only supporting the bigger &quot;developed&quot; countries in terms of payment. E.g. UK can use it, but Belgium can't.

Though you are able to download the app from US iTune store the app will not allow you to set the country code for a US mobile number. I guess it assumes only residents of Europe download the app.
