I thought I'd give SketchMee HD a whirl considering that it was free. However, I should have realized, you get what you pay for. When I installed and opened the app, it rendered a beautiful portrait of a girl. The app prompted me to load a picture, from my photos. I selected the picture and SketchMee loaded a different picture. No problem I thought, I'll just practice on the photo the app loaded. After rendering a nice version of the photo, I decided to delete it. However, much to my dismay, there is no option to cancel, delete, go back or select another photo. There is an option to save, which I did, hoping to end my 10 minutes of frustration trying to delete it. Unfortunately though, when you save it, the same picture remains displayed in the app. Not believing that an app could have so many issues and bugs, I made the assumption that SketchMee didn't install correctly. So, I uninstalled the app, deleted it from iTunes and reinstalled it fresh... whew, this app better be worth it, i thought. With the slate clean, I selected a photo to "sketch" but the app again selected a different app! Are you kidding me?!! Frustrated, I clicked on the Info button, then the Help button, only to have the app reply: "The website you are trying to reach is temporarily unavailable". Give me a break!! Aside from being the most buggy app I've ever experienced, I have concluded SketchMee HD musn't be compatible with the 1st Gen iPad (ios 6.1.2).
I wish that there was some brush work I could to the images. Other than that, it is a very useful and competent app.
Awesome app
This app allows you to change a photo to a very impressive drawing.
It's easy (and fun) to create little "masterpieces."
Please add a side by side comparison of the photo changes made. Because it draws slow so it's hard to compare the changes made.
