----------------------------------------- WHAT THE CRITICS SAY «ORBITAL is a game of skill, it's a game of strategy, it's a game of reflexes, and it's a game you will keep front and center of your iPhone for weeks on end.» - John Bardinelli (jayisgames.com) «A picnic to understand, but a marathon to get beyond the first few minutes, Orbital's simple style is perfect for those looking for fill the odd spare moment.» 8/10 - Keith Andrew (pocketgamer.co.uk) «Orbital is the most visually appealing brick breaker type game that I have ever laid eyes on and had the chance to play.» 5/5 - Mike (iphoneincanada.ca) «While there are already a few iPhone games that share the same gameplay mechanics as Orbital, none of them look anywhere near as cool.» - Eli Hodapp (toucharcade.com) «BitForge has managed to combine the addictive gameplay of Peggle and the beauty of Geometry Wars, two digital forms of crack, into one easy to use package.» - Chad George (thatvideogameblog.com) «Orbital takes simple gameplay and dresses it up with a unique “gravity” feature and enhanced graphics. The game can be very frustrating at times, but that won’t keep you from coming back for another try.» 4/5 - Will Raskin (148apps.com) «Orbital has got fantastic graphics and unfussy features. Come to think of it, there are really no negative points about the game. Good going, Bitforge!» 5/5 - Yoyo (iphonefootprint.com)

----------------------------------------- GAMEPLAY You must shoot orbs into a grid with your cannon. The orb you fired will expand until it touches a wall or another orb. Each orb contains the number ‘3’, which decreases by one every time it is hit. After 3 hits they explode and you earn a point. The game could be endless… There is just one condition: a shot orb must not touch the death line above the cannon! If it does, the game is over. A simple concept to rack your brains and nerves.

Has become a favorite

Simple to learn but challenging to get points. Just when I think I've got a good strategy going, I cross the line and have to try again.

Still a great game

Orbital was one of the first games I got for my iPhone years ago. I enjoyed the game then, and it's still a great game. The gameplay is simple, but it's challenging to get a high score. It's easy to pick up and play for a few minutes, but it's hard to put down. Very fun!

Best Game on Ipad!

by Jbbrack03 · October 3, 2010

I had this game for my Iphone and it was my favorite game ever. I ended up switching to a DroidX due to coverage issues with AT&T and I missed this game terribly. I played the flash version, but it lacks modes and leaderboards. I finally bought an ipad and I've got my game again! There is nothing that I can complain about. It looks great, sounds great, and runs perfect. I love this game!

Buy the iPhone version

A great iPhone game that fails on iPad. Still no option to use the original iPhone background grid for those of us who prefer it. Still choppy as hell on my iPad. Still get robbed of high score when high score server is down or when not on wifi. These would be so simple to fix. Oh yeah, and how about a verification of clock speed to invalidate phony high scores?

Still great, but 32-bit

Hope the dev is out there and can fix this to run as a 64-bit app.

Music

Old music was better. Maybe give option to use new music or old music?

Fantastic!

Orbital was my favorite game on my iPod touch, and has proven itself to be my favorite on my iPad as well.

What happened to the music?

by Garudadelic · May 16, 2011

Nooooooo!!! Why did you guys change the music? The old music was one of the best parts of the game, this new music is lame. This game was one of my absolute favorite iPad games until this latest update. It also takes way longer to load now. I'm deleting this version and reinstalling my old copy from my computer. Bring back the old music!
