8 of 25The App is great, especially when traveling. However, radio station buttons on front would avoid repeated drilling down. And "Replace Playlist" button would speed saving of programs rather than having to go to both areas to perform. It would be nice if hitting stop button and restarting did not restart the NPR promo, at least within the same hour. And why does the list order of my favorite stations change every day, seemingly at random, unrelated to my listening habits or alphabetical order?
Although the listener to news can choose the news items she wants to listen to, the stream doesn’t stream. Very very annoying. I have tried deleting the app, and then reloading, but it simply doesn’t work.

In addition, some days the program doesn’t update for a day. So the Weekend Edition Sunday doesn’t appear until Monday.

This app should work better.
Recently NPR has not been available on my iPad. Only Standards and New Sounds are now available. What did you do? I usually listen to WNYC 93.9

Hoping that one day you’ll finally update it and restore it the way it was when I could listen to my station
The app crashes with newer versions of the IPad IOS. It needs updating.
Reliable crash every time I try and run it.
Poorly designed, and probably never tested. On my iPad, I can’t even pick my local station to listen to the live streaming. Would only let me pick individual program podcasts. Lousiest app I’ve seen.
I just downloaded the app, prompted by a reference to a particular segment of a popular show. And I cannot find any SEARCH feature. No way to look for a story that might have been on any one of several programs, over any of several days or weeks. It is quite literally unbelievable that a quality organization cannot put out an app that includes an easy and obvious search bar. Sometimes what you want is to browse randomly, but sometimes you really want something specific. I hope I am wrong about this and the search feature is buried somewhere.....but it should be OBVIOUS and EASY and not require a lot of monkeying around to ‘discover’ such an important and necessary feature.
My local station KNKX can only be found by their ancient call letters KPLU. Interface reminiscent of RealPlayer. I would be willing to pay a subscription to support continuous development of public broadcasting service software.
