simple yet effective

by _del4yo · November 2, 2010

I was looking for an app to do in seconds what I would do in minutes on my computer. Something that would reproduce real photo effects, filters that will add time and age to my pictures. This app reproduces fairly closely the story of family pictures since the sixties, and I find it endearing. I use it very often, and appreciate that I can save in original size. I'm having fun mixing it with other nice apps, and the results are most of the time very satisfying, even for the pro eye.

Could get better

I love that this version, compared to the iPhone version, has some customizability in the filters. Were I to request anything be added in subsequent version it would be to have some finer control or stacking of filters plus the ability to edit larger files without resizing.

The latter, at least, is sort if limited by the application's ability to import the photos via Apple's APIs. Hopefully hey open that up!

Otherwise, great interface and presentation. Awfully peppy too for a filtering app.

It's good but

I wish it had more function to play around with photos... Way too simple In my opinion.

Great photo filter app

I love this app: Effects are well done and it's super easy to use. Interface isn't very iPad like, and it would be nice if you could control the intensity of each filter - a slider to "fade" back to the original - but still worth 5 stars.

Not Good

On my iPhone I have just about every filter and photography app, so, I'm experienced!

This app did not impress me at all. There are precious few filter effects, 7 or 8, and none of them were usable for my particular photo. Half of the filters cropped off the bottom making the photo unusable, and the other half created dark tones too dense, very hamhanded and unattractive.

Some great features, some room for improvement.

I absolutely love the [Vary] button and think every app in the App Store should have one! I wish there were more basic filters, including a Kodachrome filter (I've been searching high and low!) and a HDR filter. I also, like an earlier reviewed, sorely wish it saved state from session to session. Keep going!

Love the layout

I'm impressed with the transition to iPad. All the features I love from the iPhone version and some great bonuses. Love the Vary button and the fact that I can pick various crops and borders. It's surprising how much I enjoying playing with my photos in CameraBag on the iPad. Well done.

Love this app

Got a tip on this from a producer at the CBS. This is a terrific app. well thought out and easy to use. Just enough depth. This should be a standard on the iPhone and iPad.
