Pages

I love working with Pages, my favorite word processor. But a new update has an annoying feature: the thumbnail view comes up as default. I can’t tell you how annoying this is—please stop this presentation; it wasn’t there on previous versions. When I want to look at thumbnails, I select them, but I don’t want that as a default that I must deselect every time I open a document.

I haven’t been able to figure out how to link another document FROM PAGES to another document in pages. This feels ridiculous.

If I want more robust publishing options, I’ll use an app that’s actually designed for it, like the free Affinity app. Apple completely screwed up Pages and loaded it up with all sorts of useless features and needless bloat. Now nothing works right and it lags like hell. And now it keeps telling me I don’t have permission to save documents even though I do have read/write permissions enabled.<br/><br/>ETA: With every single update, Apple somehow makes this app even worse. I’m done with this app. LibreOffice is far superior and it’s free.

So i love ❤️ pages but i don’t really know how to use it, NOT saying that the app isn’t Awesome for pros, BUT STILL, i don’t know how to use it except for the typing, and thats it so yeah, GOOD APP

I use Word at work and love it. My husband has us using Pages at home (Mac computer) and I find it harder to figure out how to do basic things.

God for a functional version of this. I can’t count the number of times that scrolling the keyboard down on the phone screen with my finger has caused the app to freeze and necessitate a restart, losing content.
