So great It's in my dock!

…that's saying a lot. With a clean and beautiful design this is the best if the Pomodoro apps. I can't wait for it to be updated for the 4" screen.

Its Deficiencies Ruin the Overall Purpose

I’m not completely sure if the Pomodoro Technique actually works because this app hasn’t allowed me to do so. Promodoro advertises a complex app, but the basic features are lacking and therefore, the app is hardly capable of helping.

First of all, the alarm doesn’t even sound; a reminder shows up on screen without any noise, which I’ve missed over half the time. The second biggest issue is that there’s really no value in statistics aspect of this app; the number of pomodoro cycles I’ve gone through really has no meaning to me. Also, I feel while the task may help, other apps do a far better job.

Overall, the app serves its purpose, but can’t help someone who is deep into their work (i.e. a college student). If you can pay attention to the timer visually and like irrelevant statistics, then Promodoro will work for you. If you’re actually trying to improve your study skills, look elsewhere.

Good but needs improvement

This app is pretty good but could do with a few improvements. One being that sometimes the sound randomly turns off this can be very problematic for staying on schedule. Another thing it could use is more variety in the choice of sounds, perhaps even giving the option of linking to your own music. Also the option to turn off the continuous transition from break to pomodoro would is necessary. I there's been many times I've forgotten to turn off the timer and it messes up my count. Doing these things would go a long way to making this a 5 star app.

Crap

Iphone5 screen is not supported. Apple should not even show such apps from iPhone 5 appstore

no sound

If my phone is sleeping this app makes no sound!! All it does is display a badge. I need an alarm/noise! I do not need keep checking my phone for the silent notification. Stupid.

Good, with some bugs, missing features

Great UI.
The customization features are great (although they don't all work).
The stats tracker is a nice bonus feature.

On the downside:
* occasionally crashes
* long break feature does not appear to work
* no notifications if app is run in the background
* sometimes quits timing if running in the background
* notification sound has no volume adjustment -- if you aren't actively paying attention to the timer, good luck noticing it go off.

On the whole, if I had to do over again I would not pay for the app because being able to hear the alarm and have the app run in the background are fundamental features.

very frustrating - crashes and loses history

I have used this app for 1/2 a year as I like the design and features, but have finally given up on it as
1) constantly crashes - at least once a day and this loses progress and tracking up to that point.

2) emails about the problems to the developer are never answered

3) there are too many other Pomodoro options to put up with this frustration
