Club) Your uncle's space mining business is under threat from an Evil Corporation, and you're the only one who can save it! There are just two problems: your mining license doesn't allow you to mine very far, and your ship is a hunk of junk. Luckily, the solution to both problems is to head out into the galaxy and get mining! Blast asteroids to find the valuable ore they contain. While the space rocks won't fight back, there are plenty of enemy ships that will. Use the money you get from mining to upgrade your ship in the way you want, allowing you to go farther and survive longer. Uncover special ship parts and maps to new galaxies where more riches await. Find amazing secrets and expand your mining operation as you enjoy the unfolding story. The universe awaits! ** Supports MFi, XBox, and PlayStation Controllers ** - Classic Arcade Action: Use your thrusters to move around the asteroid fields, blasting space rocks and enemies alike with your ship's weapons. - Customize Your Ship: You worked hard for your money, so you get to decide how you're going to spend it. New lasers? A bigger cargo hold? Stronger shields? It's up to you! - Uncover Advanced Technology: Get your hands on some cool permanent upgrades that persist between games... if you can find them! - Blast the Enemies: Whether it's robot pirates looking to steal your ore or corporate goons trying to throw a wrench in your business, the best way to negotiate is with your ship's lasers! - HardcORE Mode: Looking for the ultimate challenge? Try HardcORE mode, where your first death is also your final one. Things are a lot more tense when you have just one life to live! 8 of 25I used to play this back in the iPad 1 days, albeit a pirated version. Now that I can finally purchase it, they completely removed the ability for a one time purchase, forcing you to subscribe to play. I hate subscriptions and I don’t want to pay $5 a month for a library of games I don’t care about, I just want this one game. Furthermore, $5 a month is a complete ripoff, especially since you can get Apple Arcade with actually new games for the same price. If I could permanently buy the game, I would give it 4.5 stars. It is the second best spaceship ARPG I’ve ever played, second only to Galaxy on Fire 2. The story is full of personality and charm, the game is brilliantly paced and the gameplay is simple yet engaging. This is a great introduction to this genre for new gamers.
This game and it's original development team deserves slot of praise for the monumental achievement of making the best game in the AppStore. I just beat it and I had a hoot of a time the whole way through. I look forward to further endeavors from them. May the adventure continue soon. It’s now 2020 and coming back to this game, not only am I still having a blast, but also a sense of nostalgia. Update! One issue I have with this game, is that I purchased it originally for full price, before GameClub, yet I still have ads in game. GameClub even verified that I had purchased this game and stated that no ads would be shown when I signed into GameClub. This is unacceptable and definitely deters me from purchasing a subscription. It loads ads during a loading screen, but this still removes immersion and impedes the flow of game design.
I need 100’s of iPhone games like a hole in the head. I just want to play what I want to play, and I’m happy to pay for it, but not as a rental. Make the game $5, and I’ll buy it.
It was a great game. Too bad you can’t just purchase it. Now you have to subscribe to play it. Not worth to pay monthly for.
In today’s world; paying a monthly fee ($5.00) to play a very simple spaceship shooter game is just silly. For a couple dollars more you can get Disney Channel…. Removed from phone after 3 minutes because you can’t play unless you subscribe.
I bought this game when it was popular, and available to anyone. I recently redownloaded the game. STILL better the most of whats out there today. HOWEVER. To play the game these days, you have to subscribe to YET ANOTHER monthly pay subscription. Geeez im tired of the subscriptions. So there you go. Great game. But the experience is ruined for new players by the monthly subscription pay wall.
This game is amazing. I prefer the other version where you can use the Ore to build an Outpost, but this version is good too.
