Simple mechanic, deep gameplay

Dwindle's simple, but polished drawing based gameplay both frustrates and delights, and keeps me coming back for more during coffee breaks. The game has great style and music, and with the pinning mechanic and powerups you can tell the developers wanted to give players many paths through each of their (sometimes maddening) levels. The Action mode levels are about 90 seconds long, the perfect length for a quick break, and the Endless play mode gives you a way to relax and hone your drawing skills away from the stress of the ticking clock.

Fun, clever, and whimsical. A nice jaunt from Tetris and Kaglom. And turns out, the Unwind website is really cool too. Good work! Awesome game, I strongly recommend!

Frequent crashes

by Grist · March 11, 2010

Updating my initial review posted a few days ago, version 1.01 has slightly eased the frustrating experience of trying to solve level 11, and it eliminates the bug that caused a crash in the "action" mode in version 1.0 -- but I just discovered while playing the "endless" mode of this game that it crashes after several seconds. Here are my original comments regarding version 1.0: With its novel play mechanics, this game has the potential to be very good, but there are two significant problems in the current version: (1) It crashes frequently on my Touch, and (2) The level of difficulty jumps much too quickly at level 11, making the game extremely frustrating at that point.
